Our site was all gravel, large enough for our RV (which is 39 feet) and had a picnic table. Nothing special for the price we paid. If you are small enough, there are some really nice sites on the river.
The location of the resort is nice as you are right off the bike path (you can bike 3 miles into Glenwood Springs or bike out 17 miles to the end of the bike path in Dotsero).
The “resort” has nothing else, though (that you get for you money). It does have a bar and grill which was nice because you could meet people staying in the park (and they have great french fries). They have a rafting company on site and we did a river trip down the Shoshone (water was low due to the dry winter, but still fun) and there is a climbing wall and zip line in the park as well. So perhaps that is why it is called a resort.
If you want to do laundry, there are only two washers and two dryers. We did not use the facilities and the price for the washers was $4.00/load - which, based on what I have paid in other parks, is high.
The price for this park did not match the amenities - hence my rating of 3 stars. But good location if you want to be near Glenwood Springs and Aspen.

Glenwood is so beautiful that it's hard to say anything negative about the place. We live close but came for a weekend getaway and it was a perfect recharge. 34ft TT that fit perfectly in our spot and had plenty of room to extend our awning out completely. 50amp, 30amp, and 20amp all at our sight; plus water and sewer. The big rig sights are all back in and can fit some pretty big rigs. About 5 minutes from Glenwood Springs and the infamous hot springs pool. Pool is pretty pricey but worth it with all the activities that are there. On sight at your campground there is white water rafting trips, a Zipline, an obstacle course, and a bar and grill. The river runs right past the grounds but only if you are in a smaller rig can you park on the lower half by the water. The sight was more expensive than we expected but compared to getting a hotel in the area it was nothing. Campground has WiFi hotspot at the bar and grill but our Sprint service was perfect. Our neighbors had At&t and they said it was ok. I know from living here that At&t is terrible in Western Colorado and your best bet is Sprint or Verizon here.

Docked one star only because the sites are close together and a little tricky to get into - but right by the river, the view and ambiance are just gorgeous. The owner is very nice and gave me some firewood the day I arrived. Bar and grill was closed for the season in mid-October but it's just a short drive to Glenwood. There's a zipline course and whitewater rafting opportunities right on-site. At night you can hear the river right outside your window at the water/electric only sites and it's SO lovely.

We needed a place to set-up for skiing Aspen Snowmass areas for two weeks and this was the best place we found. GWCR offered power, water and sewer in winter, which is saying a lot. Otherwise the 'resort' was closed and the bathroom/showers were barley kept warm. GWCR is located in a spectacular part of the canyon, right on the Colorado River. It's 10 min into Glenwood Springs and about an hour to the ski areas.

This place was gorgeous on the banks of the Colorado River. Very nice gravel sites with full hook ups and incredible views. We were here during Covid so facilities were closed and their bar and grill were closed. They have rafting right from the campground as well as access to a beautiful bike trail along river. Only negative was the utility layout at the site. The electricity is all the way in the back of site, the water is right in the middle and the sewer is way in the front...kinda goofy, but workable and did not detract from our enjoyment. Host (Kevin) was super nice and helpful. Will definitely come back to enjoy the amenities when fully opened.

We stayed here for easy access to the Glenwood Canyon bike trail; a paved path that goes along the Colorado River. The campground is beautiful and there are onsite activities such as rafting, zip lining, climbing wall and a restaurant. Glenwood Springs is 3 miles away and has even more activities. The sites along the River are very close together, but have a great view of the River, canyon, and an occasional train.

Great river front sites in a beautiful canyon. Onsite rafting/tubing outfitter and close to Glenwood Springs. It does get windy and dusty. Had to drop a star for experience with front office and restaurant manager, had poor experience with both. But would like to come back and spend more time as there is a lot of stuff to do.

We were caught unaware of the need to have reservations everyday if our trip but this year is different. This place had an opening and we grabbed it. All the amenities are here, staff was very polite and helpful, right in Colorado river.
The cons: we are so squeezed in together it feels unsafe during this time of social distancing. The woman next door has two bug zappers she is swinging around. The cars are so crowded it’s hard to move.
I am sure it’s a great place for many people but not our style.

We have a 45’ Motorhome towing a Jeep. Campsites accommodate our rig size but we did have to unhook our Jeep to get around tight corners. Not a big deal. Camp staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They suggested great hiking and biking routes right in the area. An additional surprise - they delivered our Amazon orders directly to our campsite! Thanks Kevin!
Shockingly expensive. If you have kids do not stay here. Seven dollars per child per night. Unreal. I have no idea what that fee is for. There is no pool. The playground is closed. I asked about the expense I was told if I have my own bike I can ride on the paved path...it isn’t located on their property.
On the plus side, if you want to test your shocks the 8 angled speed bumps on the way in and out will do just that.
The train sounds even louder as it echoes through the canyon.
Enjoy.
