“Camping / RV in Myrtle Creek, OR”
Welcome to "On The River Golf & R.V. Resort" We have been (excuse the pun) on the river in Myrtle Creek, Oregon (just south of Roseburg) for fourteen years now. Our on site owner/operators, Richard, Marcia and Steve Sumner, who enjoy family, fishing, golf, & RVing had a vision of combining these, and built their dream park.

We stayed here for a quick overnight. The manager was very professional and friendly. We had a pull through site with full hook ups. The park is about 10 minutes from I-5 set along the river. We didn't have time to play but they have a neat little (I think it was a 6 hole course with +/-50 yard fairways) pitch and putt golf course that you can play for a $3-4/round. Well maintained course and looked fun. I wish we had time to fish in the river which looked to be a few minutes walk from the park.

We will have stayed here for about 3 weeks. The manager is exceptionally nice. The grounds are always kept up and nice and green. Mostly older rv'ers but saw a few families. We had a little mishap with our neighbor, seemed as though she was not use to have little ones right next to her but we got through it and it's not the Rv parks problem. The manager was super helpful in every way from getting us a spot the minute I called to greeting us when we arrived and gave us a spot close to the office. Anytime I called he answered immediately. We had a spot outlooking the golf course which was pleasant. They also have sites outlooking the river too. We are close to Myrtle Creek so shopping is close. It is extremely quiet here and very clean. Would stay here again.

This is a quaint but nice looking park with some trees and other greenery. Drive up (keep going you’ll get to it) to the “office” which is a small shed with a couple chairs and a table. We called the phone number posted to let them know we were there and a nice gentleman came right over. He checked us in outside then we drove to our sites. The interior roads are a little narrow for big rigs but totally doable. The interior roads are paved, and the sites are gravel. Our site was un-level mostly on the driver’s side. It had rained a bit and there were puddles and some mud – could be ugly during the wet season. We also discovered they have water sprinklers that run and leave constant wet spots in some spots like ours. Our site was long enough for the MH and toad. There are boulders between most sites so be careful not to hit them with your car or RV. The sites are fairly close together (some more than others) and there is no privacy. The park has many long term and older rigs. Most are neat but some have accumulated a bit of junk. There is no WII FI however, Verizon was 4g 2-3 bars so we used our hot spots. Satellite is possible in some sites. Some biting bugs were around keeping all the bees company. The closest shopping is 20-30 minutes. The park is on the river but also right on Old Hwy 99 and it’s noisy. There is a huge, and I mean huge, forestry products/lumber yard about 1 mile west. During the week, tractor trailers constantly run back and forth - starting early and ending late. The lumber yard also uses trains so you will hear them rumbling and blowing their whistles. We were really disturbed by all the noise and because of that we would not return.

Nice place for an over night or a couple days. Campground is as the name implies on the river, but I'm not sure about access. Very pretty with all the trees sporting their fall colors while we were there. Sites are fine and the small 6 hole golf course might be fun to try (some clubs are avail for rent). Clubhouse with big screen and pool table too. It's a couple miles off the freeway and quiet enough for our stay. Price reflects Passport America rate.

The park was quaint, the staff was friendly, and the river was gorgeous! Just a short drive to groceries and one hour drive to whitewater rafting on the North Umpqua. We loved our stay at One The River.

We used our Passport America membership for this park. No reservations are available but we called the morning of the night we needed the park and he (Steve) held a place for us. Cash or check only. Our site was long enough we wouldn't have had to unhook but we were too unlevel front to back so ended up unhooking. Site was gravel and muddy. Other sites had more gravel and were less muddy and there are some that back up to the river. Looked like plenty of space between sites. There was a rec room that looked nice although we didn't use it. Some traffic noise and rumbling trains through the night. Not too far from I-5 so easy to get to. We would stay again but only in better weather when things aren't so wet. No WiFi but we had AT&T service.

Great location on the river. Nice 6 hole golf course, be careful not to hit the ball too hard. Lots of hiking in the area. Fishing from the bank or the small dock on the river and catch and release in their private pond. Be careful of Blackberry bushes everywhere, they are working on clearing them around the park. Clean showers and req room with games and free ice. Laundry was out of order while we were there but they were building a new laundry room, I look froward to seeing it finished. Lots of logging trucks during the day, you can see and hear the trains but they were not as loud as I expected, didn't disturb our sleep. Large spots, ours had hookups on both sides so we were able to pull in straight and have the beautiful river view out the front window while we worked. Long term residents and owners were all very nice helpful. Would be a great place for a family.

We came for a few days wish we had more time to stay. We will definitely be back. If you don’t play golf do t worry they have clubs, if you forgot your pooper scooper they have that too. So yes dog friendly, kid friendly. Discounts for first responders and military. The shower rooms are big and clean. Trails, hunting, fishing, golfing, or even hit up a winery or two… you won’t be disappointed….
