Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on April 14, 2022We used our TT membership and stayed at this park on our way to WA. Although the park is close to the freeway, the rural road takes you to the spot that it sits next to the San Joaquin River. It was a quiet night's stay. The park is small, and like a lot of TT parks, a bit dated, but clean and it seemed all the full hookup spots were taken up by FTers; there was a dump station we used on the way out. The ranger showed us to a nice, level, end-spot to park for the night which was it was surrounded by grass with no spots behind us. We plan on using this campground again on our trips up and down the California 5 Freeway.

Pulled in early evening on a Monday. Sewer sites were all taken by long term ended up in a back in spot in d-section. Stay was quiet and uneventful. River nearby makes for good morning bird watching .
Freeway noise not noticeable until morning commute.

Nice stop for an overnight stay or longer. Cute beach area on the river, and lots of spots with trees for shade and picnic tables. Showers and bathrooms were very nice and clean.

We stayed at this comfortable campground for 1 week. Our drive in was a bit challenging in that there are a lot of tight twisty roads as you approach the entrance. The location is a bit isolated. All of the staff members were great. Becky was wonderful over the phone and Carrie personally escorted us to full hookup back-in site #B6 upon arrival. Thank you team for the excellent service! Our site was relatively level and quite spacious. It also had excellent tree shade. Yay! Loud trains can be heard at night so make sure to bring some earplugs. We noticed a Welcome Center but unfortunately did not have time to check it out. The campground bathrooms were these small mobile-home looking structures. We did not use them during our stay. My AT&T phone had 2 bars and the hotspot worked great. My wife's Verizon phone had 3 bars. Our over-the-air TV system was able to program NBC, CBS and Fox along with a few other channels. We tried the optional paid wifi for 1 day and it was surprisingly good. No recycling bins available.

We had no hook ups with our 30’ trailer but man, what a view! Right on the river and such gorgeous morning and evening views. Carrie was so friendly and accommodating to our last minute reservation and escorted us to our spot. Great customer service! We didn’t pay because of our TT membership. We have family in Manteca so this spot works great for us!

We are 1000 trails member and that is why we stayed at this park. We stayed for three weeks and absolutely loved it. Currently due to the pandemic the day use area is closed so the park was super quiet. We were lucky enough to get a full hook up a spot for the three weeks. This is not a large park or a resort park it has more of a state campground feel to it no pool, hot tub, or fun amenities but you do have access to a little beach and the water which we paddleboard it on. The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful here. But be prepared for wind Storms. The staff was super helpful and we probably spoke with three different women Workampers while staying here. You can ship your packages via Amazon, UPS, or FedEx. We work full-time and had decent Verizon and AT&T service to stream movies, video calls, conference calls, and check emails. The main complaint about this park is the road into the park. 2 miles of the road are currently under construction in late October 2021 and the last mile is very rough into the park. You are about 15 minutes from all amenities including grocery stores, fun, shopping and every other necessity.

No sewer. 30 amp.
This is a quiet campground that we stopped at to get some work done and buy groceries, etc before heading into Yosemite.

We needed an overnight, to avoid driving burn out. The proximity to all the waterways enticed us to try it out. Lots of traffic and crazy city congestion, we were amazed when the road to the resort took us away from it all and into a large oasis of camping vibes and comfort, less than a mile from that frenzy. Of course, the din of the highway still made it’s way into the park, and the roaring train horn woke us a couple times, but it wasn’t too bad. To top off the positive, the very nice host upgraded us to a full hookup sight at no xtra charge. I’d definitely stay there again, but the city noise would be a long stay deal breaker for me. There were plenty of other campers that didn’t mind it at all, tho. The park is huge, and we were able to have some good long walks along the San Joaquín river. It’s much better than a few places we’ve endured.

Getting there can be a bit of a challenge but workable. Like most Thousand trails the majority of the full hook up sites are taken by annual lease customers. The camp host did get us into one of the only open full hook up site. Great friendly staff. The campground is well maintained for a Thousand trails. Would stop here again if in the area.
