“halfway between Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone!”
Indian Campground & RV Park in Buffalo, Wyoming is located halfway between Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park, at the junction of I-90 and I-25. We are an ideal stopping off point to visit the beautiful Big Horn Mountains, the Bighorn National Forest, and the Historic Bozeman Trail sites. We are also at the point where these two interstates meet up with the Cloud Peak Scenic Byway (also known as Highway 16). Easy off and easy on -- just 1/2 block west of I-25's exit 299. This is the shortest, safest and most scenic route to Yellowstone Park - with the least grade for those big outfits.

Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on July 08, 2023We loved this campground. Super clean bathhouse. Lots of space with great shade from beautiful trees. Very friendly staff. They are definitely doing it right.
Nice campground with easy on and off to the expressway!
We just stayed here one night while on our way to South Dakota but we definitely could have stayed longer. This RV park is very well maintained and has a nice cozy feeling to it. The owners were very accommodating and extremely nice!! The park has lots of mature trees, great for providing lots of shade. I believe the owner also has some of his photography work for sale in the gift shop on the premises,
We will stay here again when we are in the area.

This is one of our “go to campgrounds” when traveling cross country along I-90. It would also be a good pace for a longer stay if you want to be in the area for more than just an overnight.
The staff is friendly and willing to accommodate your needs. Site sizes vary considerably and they can accommodate big rigs in many of their sites. The utilities all work, they have decent cable TV and Verizon is quite fast. The CG has many trees which provide welcome shade.
The campground is far enough from both the highway and main road through town so that the location is very quiet. The KOA down the street is right on the main drag through town and more exposed so it is a bit noisier.
We would definitely stay here whenever our travels take us in the area.

Super easy in and out for an overnight. Kind and friendly customer service. The pool was being drained due to someone getting sick in the pool. Not a big deal. Excellent showers and plenty of washers and dryers. Nice stocked store.

This is a small, old park right off the freeway but no noise. Adequate site size. A few gas stations with stores within walking distance. It'll do for a one night stand. Friendly manager.

We are Canadian Citizen and return in our Country earlier. They offer us electicity, dump, Wifi and access to washing machine. So, the best we want. Because they were not able to offer all full service, they offer us a very good discount.
They are close to I-25 but, because it's no traffic, so, it's very quiet in the day and in the night.
It's open 1 month earlier for offer accommodation to everyone want it. The host are very helpful and friendly.
We will certainly come back.

They put us in a very small site and they put someone next to us that parked right at the "lot line" In fact the person was so close that the awning on their slide overhung our lot. We complained and were told that since the were on the other side of the electrical box, there is nothing they could do and that we could not get a refund. We had no room for our cat and dog. The person next to us also left their sewer hose lay out unconnected and it was an attraction to our cat and dog due to the smell.
The campgound is old and run down. We kept blowin circuit breakers until they replaced it. Also, there was a faucet on our site that was running water and had to be repaired. The sites are close together. The wifi is very spotty and is very slow "WHEN IT WORKS".
You would do best to avoid this place.
