“Florida's most notable waterfall”
The park derives its name from one of Florida's most notable geological features a 67-foot waterfall. Falling Waters Sink is a 100 foot deep; 20 foot wide cylindrical pit into which flows a small stream which drops 67 foot to the bottom of the sink. The water's final destination is not yet known. Trees line the boardwalk leading to Florida's tallest waterfall, which drops 67 feet into a sinkhole.

Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on November 07, 2023Call ahead about water levels! I came here in early August, and the water levels for the falls were nonexistent so that was disappointing. But I really enjoyed the park itself. There were hardly any people there so it was awesome being able to take my time to walk around the trails and such.
Website only allows reservation for next day. Based on one of these reviews We showed up on a rainy day and got lucky as they had 1 cancellation. There are only 21 sites here. A hidden gem with a lovely lake and waterfall. Very quiet.

Drive by kiosk to check-in, very easy. Easy access off I10. This is a small park only about 20 sites, site 24 was on the end which is away from other sites. Most sites are close together. Facilities were excellent, nice showers. Power and water worked well.
Very little water over the falls but still worth seeing. No noise just birds and hickory nuts and pine cones falling.
About 5 miles from Chipley, FL with many restaurants, grocery stores and Walmart.
Decent AT&T cell service 3-4 bars; 15-20 HDTV channels.

Absolutely beautiful little state park campground. The falls are breathtaking and the hiking is wonderful. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Site #10 is one of the more secluded sights and in my opinion the best site at the campground! We originally booked for a full week and were so excited to hike and kayak but we are full time and still have to work. The reviews say that there is service and it is an absolute lie at the campground. There's service at the day use parking lot and at the entrance of the park but the campground has nothing. Even will our cell booster we couldn't get even google to load much less work out there the full week.
Usually when that happens we head into town and find a coffee shop but the closest coffee shop in town has sporadic hours and the next closest has spotty Wi-Fi and blasts Christian music so loud you can hear it outside.
We ended up finding another RV resort in Tallahassee to stay the week but we will definitely be back to spend a weekend (not working) sometime soon!

This is a small park and sites are tight. Trail from campground to the falls was nice just watch out for the occasional root sticking up out of the ground. The falls were flowing full flow. Campers were all very friendly and we made several new friends at this campground. Cell service is not stable - our phones showed 3 bars LTE on Verizon but had trouble opening up apps and checking emails - very slow and when we opened up the email, the signal dropped to 1 bar. This park had the most birds of other parks. Some birds were birds that we rarely see in Florida. Got to see lots of deer and raccoons. Our main camping trips are close to our home and are meant to unwind and just get away from our house breaks. I think just about every camper had a dog or 2 - this was the most dogs we have seen camping. It was very quiet and we enjoyed our recharge trip. Our site was a dirt pad with a few stones however it was fairly level.

Road at campground is a little tight but manageable. Not all sites are level but they are doable. Quiet, peaceful, not crowded together. $25 includes water and electric. Convenient dump site at exit.
A few short hiking trails to the water fall and small lake. Very nice! Pet friendly.
No problem with bugs at the campsite but we did find a couple ticks while hiking.

This is a hidden gem trail close to I-10 yet far enough to avoid traffic noise. The bathrooms are very nice. The park itself has a lake and a waterfall, yet the public areas are well of the campground. It's about 2 hours from Pensacola and I-75.

What we loved: Being able to walk out our door and take some nice hikes. This is a small state park. The terrain was somewhat challenging so that made up for the shortness of the trails. The walk to the Falling Waters was shorter than we were used to, and was on a board walk much of the way. So that made it safe for families. There is nice little beach. The sites were all flat. The camp hosts were attentive and even offered to help change a tire. The bath houses were clean. We met some great people, as is typical of most campers!
What was lacking: We love long walks and hikes. We had to be very creative to get in a 3.6 mile hike. We had to drive to town to do laundry. We knew there were no sewer hook ups. The website warned they were working on the sewer system, so when we used the dump station, and even walking by it, the oder was a bit unpleasant. Hopefully, this will be taken care of soon. We wrote a blog with lots of pictures, which is uploaded.

We camped here in March, 2016 in a 35 foot fifth wheel. The rate shown does not include the reservation fee for Reserve America.
Our large back in site was on a dirt and gravel pad. The site was level and had water and electric hookups with a picnic table and fire ring behind the site. The bath house was close by and was very clean. The dump station was easy to get to and we did not observe any bad odors. There was construction at the bath house while we were there.
The highlight of the stay was taking the trail to see Florida's tallest waterfall. There was construction on the lower observation deck and we weren't able to view all 73 feet of the falls. Still, it was worth seeing.
The park is a short drive from I-10 and just a few miles from the town of Chipley where there are restaurants and shopping.
