“follow the well-known walkway”
Beverly Beach is popular for a reason! Like magic, a well-known walkway goes under the highway and emerges to the long expanse of sandy beach extending from Yaquina Head (you can see the lighthouse from here) to the headlands of Otter Rock. When the weather cooperates, kites color the air and whip in the wind. Bring a bucket and build a sand castle! Surfers often head to the north beach, while folks looking for fossils head south.

The checkin staff were lovely and helpful. Definitely grab a map. Large Campground. Spots Were Tight And It Was Packing In October. Due To It’s Size, The Spots Further From The Beach May Not Be Within Walking Distance For Some. The trails were well maintained. No Cell Service. Wasn’t able to get a Starlink connection either due to tree cover, so be warned if that is important.

We showed up on a Sunday night with no reservation and we’re lucky enough to get a spot in the A loop near water and bathrooms. Once night fell, the traffic slowed we drifted off to sleep listening to the crashing waves. Early morning was great to head to the ocean and enjoy even more fresh air.
Everything was clean, and all staff encountered were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Beverly Beach is located between Depoe Bay and Newport and one of the treasures of the Oregon Coast.
The campground is well maintained, accommodating large RVs to tents. If possible, get a spot in the B loop closest to the bridge and path to the ocean. Being surrounded by trees, there are a lot of pine needles so be sure to take a broom.

Tucked along Hwy 101 is a gem of a camping experience. Beverly Beach SP offers full hookups, including cable. But, it's the proximity to beautiful beaches that are the calling card.
We camped in the B loop next to the beach access. I was worried about Hwy 101 noise, but did not notice it at all. The sites are easy to navigate and are tucked amongst the trees. Actually, the whole campground is a grotto carved away from the coastal hills, making it a refuge against wind. The further you venture into the campground, the more you find you're in a rain forest. A must do is the Spencer Creek Nature Trail. It's peaceful and unique.
Beverly is only a few moments to Newport and services, so resupplying is easy. There is plenty to enjoy in the area, from restaurants to art to nature. Very nice place to relax.

First come, first serve spots are limited to back loops, away from the beach. But there is more privacy and solitude in the F,G, and H loops. Less than 10 min walk to the beach which is huge at low tide. There are free hot showers and nice clean bathrooms. Visit The Whale Center in Depoe Bay and Newport has most amenities needed. No T-mobile reception in the campground.

This campground is huge, like a small city. Folks seem to prefer the B loop due to the proximity to the beach, but honestly if I had to do it over, I'd pick one of the back loops on the creek; the sites are private (and dark if you need solar) thanks to expertly maintained trees and foliage. B loop is close to the entrance, the traffic and the highway bridge noise - which you walk under to reach the huge and deserted beach. We spent lots of time on long walks or cruising our bikes through the site loops checking out the population.
Iceclimber recommended.

Stayed here in mid August 2017. This is a huge campground with a large variety of campsites. Generally, the closer to the beach you get, the more packed in you are and the cooler/windier the climate. We chose a site at the back of the campground and it was a nice pull through with adequate space for out 50' truck and trailer. It was much warmer and sunnier there too, which is nice when the summer temps don't get much above the 60's
The check-in was awesome and they let us in early since out site was available. There are 4 lanes for check-in and they all get used when busy. There is also a dump station, but it is old and a single lane and tight turns. We did not use it on this trip but did in the past. Typical Oregon State Parks bathrooms and showers, but also had laundry.
Bikes come in handy for getting around the camp ground, and your pass to the campground is good for the day use area so you can drive down to access the beach. There is a small store near the campground entrance that sells basic groceries, beer, wine and kitsch. Newport is a short drive up the road and has everything you need.
Lots and lots of oblivious people walking and children riding bikes and playing in the middle of the camp roads so use caution when driving. Roads are narrow.
We stayed across from a camp host whose dog would bark incessantly every morning at 7 AM for a brief time. Go figure.

The good:
Great distance to a beautiful beach (15 min walk). Plenty of privacy, Nearby shopping in Newport with nice walking areas. Good price for full hookups.
Nice atmosphere with friendly rangers. Very dog friendly (dogs allowed on beach and walking trails). Plenty of fun stuff to do around there. Check out the nearby lighthouse. It's gorgeous.
The bad:
Power was weak. I tripped the breaker multiple times even though I have used plenty of 30 amp sites so I know what I can and cannot use on 30 amps.
Connectivity:
Verizon very slow w/out booster. With booster, 3mpbs d/l.
Att was strong. 3mbps w/out booster, 8 with.
T mobile was not usable
Lots of OTA channels coming in clear (major networks etc)

We are new to (Travel trailer) camping and out of the 5 campgrounds that we have made it to so far this year, this has been our favorite.
Relatively quiet throughout the day and night, very close to a nice beach and most importantly, sites with partial privacy.
WiFi is non-existent and Verizon was spotty with no data and occasional voice access - perfect for disconnecting!
Road and spots are very tight for mowing larger rigs.

This camp is the top of our list. Clean, quiet, wooded, private, great beach, Yaquina lighthouse to the south, Devil’s Punch Bowl to the north. Quick drive to Newport. The only things to remember is that loops A and B get a little noise from the highway and 2/3 of the sites are “standard” which do not have septic. Full sites have septic.
