This is a convenient stop. It is right off the freeway, great location for exploring the wineries in the region. Solvang is close by and worth a visit. Buellton has some nice spots to visit, we found a great brewery and restaurant within walking distance from the RV park.
Most are pull through paved site. The sites are close together,as is common in RV parks.

They have a pool and hot tub which we didn't use. There is a well stocked general store, including lots of local wines, and very friendly staff. Also a nice central patio area with firepit. They also have outdoor movie nights on summer weekends. We watched The Lego Movie!

One of the cool things about this park is that they have a lot of vintage Airstreams available to rent. They will let you tour them if they are not occupied.

A very good RV park just off Hwy 101. Close to restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Lots of new cabins being installed in the resort which might alter the RV aspect of the place--stay tuned for how it turns out. 5 STAR rating of the new bathrooms next to the pool! Very nice dog run! Even has a CAT run!

Loved this RV Resort has great amenities, clean bathrooms and 24 hr laundromat. A little noisy since they cater to families with lots of kids activities.

If you don't like nice folks, clean shaded sites, granite countertops (even in the laundry!), natural stone-tiled showers, large gas-lit fire pits, fire side lounging, BBQ on site, adirondack chairs scattered all over, tiny-houses and restored airstreams for rent, a saharan themed area with desert landscaping and a large statue of a rhino, luxury outdoor patios and grills, sand volleyball, bocce ball, on-site dog park, 2 hot tubs, a heated pool, a poolside lounge.....then don't come here.
If you don't like 2 breweries within walking distance, excellent restaurants nearby, and wine tasting.....go somewhere else.
If you don't like hiking you shouldn't go up Figueroa Mountain Rd. to the Midland School Trails and by all means DON'T do the Lover's Loop Trail, you will be pissed.
And don't ride your bike all over wine country and don't visit any of the 100 boutique winery's tasting rooms. You'll be drunk and pissed.
But if you are like us and love all of the above, you're all set!

Past visitors to this iconic RV resort in Buellton, California are in for a nice surprise. As a result of a recent affiliation with The Highway West Corporation, Flying Flags RV Resort has been expanded, upgraded, and basically improved. We camped in the new section (pull-thru, concrete pad, with full services). Included were two new restroom buildings with individual bathrooms (sink, toilet, and shower).

Of course, there remains the original RV spots with lots of mature trees (the corner lots containing lots of bells and whistles!) and also the original long-term winter visitor sections. Much appreciated is the shaded and spacious dog-run and the convenience of across-the-street amenities of RV services: http://www.bobsrvrepairbuellton.com/ and the original Anderson's Pea Soup Restaurant, among others.

We were impressed with the resort's emphasis on spaciousness and amenities. There are plans for a second (and very large) pool that will really make this destination RV resort POP!

OK, one caveat . . . Hwy 101 freeway noise is the one detraction to the new section . . . thus if that's your concern, focus on the original sites.

But, after a week of moochdocking, we needed power, water, a dump station and laundry. This place checked those boxes. The resort has recently been upgraded, which is obvious. It's clean and everything works. They have a staff which is visible all day, cleaning and making sure all is in order. The laundry is clean, and all the machines work. There is community space and a rec area for kids. Not one but two dog areas. We felt out of place, with our battle-scarred EarthRoamer, amidst Newmars and Airstreams. But everyone is super nice and friendly.
We've been able to ride out a multi-day rainstorm, charge up the batteries, do laundry and empty the waste tanks. An added bonus is that there are a number of great restaurants a short walk away. It's worth noting this does NOT include Anderson's Split Pea, which has been in. Downward spiral for a decade.
Pro tip: the Friday BBQ at Flying Flags is pretty damn good.

This is one of those hidden gem RV parks that I want to keep to myself. They have done almost everything perfectly. The spots are big and level, the staff is friendly. The store is stocked with local wine and treats. The pool and hot tub are both excellent.

On Friday nights they have a cookout with excellent food. There is a gas fire pit near the office, and people gather there and swap stories. It is one of the friendliest places we've been and has a real feeling of community. One night, a couple traveling musicians who were staying there did an impromptu concert around the fire.

There is a nice playground for kids and a large bocce ball court.

In addition to RV spots, there are luxury tents for "glamping", and there are little cabins, too.

You are within walking distance of Buellton shopping and several good restaurants. We rode our bikes to Solvang (although the road narrows on the last hill into town!), so it's a nice way to explore the town. It is about 15 minutes from Gaviota Beach, and 45 minutes to the beach in Santa Barbara.

It is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

This is one of our favorite spots. Please don't make it so popular it is full when we want to go there.

We loved the modern and trendy twist that Flying Flags has put on their RV park. The fun starts immediately upon checking in. Attached to the registration office is a delicious cafe with a fun patio featuring a huge fire pit and cozy environment. Around the corner are its luxury pool and spa with lots of lounging areas and beautifully renovated bathrooms with showers. Aside from these great amenities, (and there’s even more – music stage, yard games, dog park, etc) Flying Flags has spacious RV spots but also cute cottages and even Airstreams for rent.
The best part about Flying Flags though is its beautiful location in Buellton, California. We had never even heard of this area but some friends recommended it to us and we are so glad they did!
There are tons of wineries spread throughout the Santa Ynez Valley with breathtaking vineyard views. Solvang, a charming Danish village, is also nearby and a fun place to do more wine tasting, eat pastries, or just stroll the streets and enjoy the beautiful flowers and authentic Danish culture. Buellton is also close enough to take a day trip to Santa Barbara.

We stayed here just 1 night on our way from LA to Santa Cruz. But, we wished we'd stayed longer! Friendly staff greeted us upon our arrival and even gave us cookies for dessert that night! The site we had was an easy pull-thru, even for my first time towing! We loved the playground equipment and gorgeous pool area, complete with hot tub and splash pad. Each site I saw had a level cement pad, grassy area, nice picnic table and shrubbery around the hook-ups to keep the presence of water, sewer and electric boxes discreet. The shower & bathroom facilities were modern, convenient and spotless. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it!

We absolutely LOVED this resort and have already booked our next trip back. There are numerous things to do on site, including: 3 swimming pools, hot tubs, splash pad, bocce pall court/tounaments, soccer field, community fire pit. ice cream store, cafe, general store, kids activities (like scavenger hunt, etc), weekly bbq dinners, pool table, media room, laundry, and more.

The area is great and you're within driving distance of many cute little town. Wee walked to Fig Mountain brewery, spent one day in solvang and the rest at the resort. We have two little kids and LOVED everything they had to offer.
