Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on November 18, 2023There are limited public grounds in the area and from the research I did this sounded like the best private campground. It is located between the beautiful Sonoma coast and the Russian River. It's a great location if you want to explore both. If you are not interested in the coast then maybe a campground on the other side of Guerneville would make access to the majority of wineries and Healdsburg easier. We took day trips to Bodega Bay, Sebastopol, Healdsburg and the Dry Creek Valley from here. It's a short (windy) drive to Guerneville which has some good eating options.
They have a whole range of sites, we moved because we couldn't secure a single spot through the weekend. There are some good spots near the water, but the first spot we had was really pretty disappointing. Just dirt and huge weeds and nettles. You are very close to neighbors here.
The beach is the best part of this campground, you can rent kayaks and SUPs. Even at the weekend it was not so crowded as to be a pain. They have warm clean showers, and a well stocked general store.
Overall we did not love this place. The staff were friendly enough and the facilities good, but it was busy, you are very close to other people, and there are lots of noisy families, generally just not our kind of place.

It's easy to see, Casini campground could get very lively, but we were there after the weekend rush and had several empty campsites surrounding us. Pretty, green, newly mowed, and clean. It can be annoying to tent camp when parks don't pick up the litter (cigarette buts and bottle caps), but this campground was well cared for. I could see we'd be a little hemmed in if the campground was full, but we had lots of space to ourselves.
There's a shooting range nearby, and we did have some noise from that on Sunday, but not in the afternoon, or on Monday or Tuesday. Casini Ranch is a destination for Civil War reenactments during the summer.
It was easy to get our kayak into the water and the Russian River area is beautiful.
Wonderful bakery at Duncan's Mills; fresh, warm cinnamon rolls and (we were in luck) sticky buns...we rode our bikes over in the morning, just a short trip.
No cell service for T-mobile, but the staff at the Casini store offered up their own land line so I could make a local call. Nice.

This is a great campground - close to the Pacific Coast, and nestled in the Russian River Valley. Sonoma wine country nearby (Korbel is just down the road). Redwood forests (some on the property). There is a seal colony at the coast.
The park offers a store, kids activities, farm animals, hayrides, lots of water activities (1 mile of riverfront), and organized activities. This is a family focused park, so there are kids and dogs making noise, but they are very focused on making sure quiet time is enforced at 10 p.m.
Updates are taking place - like new ADA bathrooms (very nice), rental RVs, and electrical upgrades.
The big charm of this park is the historical aspect. In the Casini family for over 100 years, with a historical barn still on site, it has a an old west, great family friendly feel.
Bottom line - there are lots of ways to stay entertained here.

Friday night is party night--loud music. Expensive and still have to pay for showers. Muddy.

How anybody could give this campground anything but five stars is beyond us. There are hundreds of sites and they are always sold out. That in itself should tell you what kind of place this is. If you are looking for family fun, come here. Don’t come looking for wilderness and solitude. Best wifi ever for a campground.

I stayed here for 2 days in spot 90 with my son. The spots around me are about the only RV spots that have any privacy. Spotty Verizon cell service. The campground has WiFi, but I was too far from it to access it. Clean restrooms. 2 kids parks and a dog park. Power and water at each hook up. Walking distance to Russian river. My only issue is not with my campsite but with other RV spots. They are pretty packed together. Lots of great room for kids to bike and walk around. Local store has a huge selection to fill needs.

We stayed here for a week in site C10 with water and 30amp electric. Dump station with 2 dumps on site. Campground was nearly empty during the week, but every spot filled up come Friday. Surrounded on all sides by other rigs with less than 10' of space between. A few trees between sites, but not much privacy.
If you have kids, this place would be ideal. Tons of kids running around and biking with tons of activities to keep them busy (basketball court, playgrounds, tetherball, etc.). Multiple dog parks throughout the campground if you're traveling with your pup. 15 minute drive into Guerneville.
Overall, a well-run but slightly strict campground that we would stay at again. Might try to snag one of their full hookup sites next time since they're spaced further apart.

Casini is very close to home, but I never considered going, as I formed an incorrect opinion of the facility. Casini Ranch is very nice. Very well managed.
We had a nice, clean, level spot. Great neighbors, and a river view.
Good wifi, cell coverage, and 30A service.
Well-run campground, clean, quiet during quiet hours.
Lots of kids and families. Plenty to do: local restaurants, the ocean, the river, redwoods, fishing, hiking, dark skies.

We stayed here nine days for a family function. While River Road from 101 is a bit snug in places we got here without issue. The campground is a top notch operation. Check in is seamless. This is a family/weekend campground so expect it to be packed in season on ring the week it was quiet. Roads are mostly paved in the RV areas and dirt in tenting areas.
This campground had some of the best wifi we have encountered in our journey although on the weekend bandwidth was challenged a bit. The facility is clean and we would return if in th area. I would add our 43' fifth wheel toy hauler was not typical of their guests but fit in just fine. One word of caution - motorcycles are not allowed. They permitted us to unload and park them by the office. Riding the Pacific Coast Highway (only 4-5 miles away) is a must.

1st trip in our new Flagstaff Trailer and Casini Park was a great location to start our new lifestyle. They have everything to include firewood delivery and a Honey Dipper right to your campsite. Right on the Russian River or 15-minutes to the ocean. Very friendly staff and tons of stuff to do in the RV Park or a short drive. We are planning a big family trip to Casini—journey on.
