We stayed here for one night on our way through the area. It was a convenient stop not far off I-81. There are 7 long pull-through spots on the far side of the parking lot. The spots are not even close to level, but it was very quiet at night. In addition to the Bass Pro Shop, there is a movie theater, outlet mall, and lots of chain restaurants next door. We would definitely stay here again as it was far less busy than a Walmart parking lot.
Easy and convenient. No one hassled us. Lots of room. Would stay here again. Cabelas has moved here.
We needed a stop over for one night. This was easy access off of 81. We called ahead to make sure it was ok to stay and were told that they welcome RV's. RV parking is to the far left of the building. Spaces are not super level, but we found that the spot at the end near the trees was close enough.
Large lot with plenty of space! 7 long pull through spots on the left side of the lot. Not very level but the lowest one near the median was fine for the night. Tons of shops, restaurants etc pretty much within walking distance. Starbucks, DD and gas with diesel right in the area as well. Perfect place for an overnight stay!
Large parking lot in a very safe area. Well lit lot and very quiet. Great for an overnight stay. We would stay here again.
Amazingly quiet and no pesky forest critters! Added benefit ... within easy walking distance of Bass Pro Shops!
We were traveling from Diamond Caverns RV Resort to Lynchburg RV Resort and knew we needed to stay overnight somewhere. All the rest stops are hit or miss in this area (no trucks, 2 hour limit, etc.). We pulled this up and decided to give it a try. We pulled in at 7:30 and this location which is now Cabelas closes at 8 so we decided to go check out the sales real quick and picked up some new sneakers! Yea! There were 4 semis and one truck with an airstream already there when we pulled in. These spots are not very level, so we did put down the jacks and there was plenty of room for the bedroom slide. Super Quiet - Good night sleep. Would stay here again!
Nice store and a nice overnight spot. There are a bunch of nice restaurants if you need nearby.
We got there around 3 am and there was only one other truck. Very spacious and quiet. Spots are a bit unleveled, but wasn’t much of an issue. Parking lot fills up quick once the store opens.
After enduring a horrible traffic jam from an accident, we were unable to drive to our planned campground in Virginia, so we decided to stop here for the evening. What a great decision that turned out to be. Driving up to the parking lot, you pass well manicured landscaping in what looks to be a newer shopping complex. We arrived after hours and were unable to ask permission, but earlier reviews and seeing another camper parked for the evening reassured us. The lot emptied out of vehicles and became very quiet, with the exception of one brief zooming car early in the evening. We felt very safe and had a restful sleep before departing in the morning. We stopped for a bite to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants before moving on with the rest of our journey. Would definitely recommend this spot if you find yourself in need of a safe, quiet place to overnight. Very much appreciate that Bass Pro Shops allows campers to park here.
