“Walk through Ancient, Natural History!”
A walk in Graham Cave State Park is a walk through ancient history. Artifacts uncovered in Graham Cave revealed that people were living in the cave more than 10,000 years ago. To walk through the park’s 386 acres of trees, trails and streams – including the diverse and scenic Graham Caves Glades Natural Area – is to walk in the footsteps of the hunter-gatherers who lived in the area’s caves during the ancient Dalton and Archaic period. Visitors are allowed in the mouth of Graham Cave, and exhibits detail the life researchers believe early inhabitants lived. The park is a prime hiking location and its campground is perfect for get-togethers when you want to camp in a quiet place. There’s boat access to the Loutre River and all the fishing you could possibly want.

Graham Cave State Park was a one night stopover. There were some positives - nice location, quiet, friendly staff and clean showers. My site had electric, which worked fine.
However, there were also some negatives. Many of the campsites are small and most are uneven, so choose carefully and bring your leveling kit. My reserved site slanted downward towards the rear, making it impossible to level my little camp trailer even with the hitch as low as possible. I ultimately changed sites to a smaller but slightly more level location. Note that the camp staff were super nice and understanding. Another drawback is that the bathrooms/showers are just prior to entering the loop, making them a far walk from the majority of the circle. At least having a vault toilet in the center of the loop would be nice.
Taking all the above into consideration, I would return for another quick night, but not an extended stay.

beautiful!
We only did a quick overnight here for $12. It's quieter than a rest stop but it's still close to the interstate. Note that Google Maps will try to send you to a random spot on the interstate instead of the actual entrance on the north side of the park. Our site was the most unlevel site we've ever had at a formal campground - it was off 3 inches side to side and 30+ inches front to back for our length of rig.

I arrived around 5 on 8/15 (Thursday) and there were still a lot of empty sites. I chose site 33 due to proximity to the showers. I called the number shown as I entered and made a reservation for one night. FYI Weekends you must reserve for two nights. Restrooms were clean and showers had hot water.

We camped in a 24 ft trailer. Stayed at site 51. Although paved, very un-level. Over 4 inches on the right side. We parked and leveled to close to the edge of the pavement so,oOnce leveled very hard to get in and out of the camper.. bottom of the step was at least a foot drop.. if you stay in this site, back in as close as you can to the elect. Hook up.
Lots of trees so nice spot. Very quiet.. camped on Tues in August 2024, barely anyone here.
Would come back

We were there on a weekday with no reservation. The no-hookup sites were all empty, more than half of the electric sites were empty. We really liked the state park. The campground was quiet, shady. Most of the campsites are not level. It looked like the sites toward the center of the campground were the most level. That’s where all the big rigs were. We took a site on the outer edge, towards the woods. It was pretty level and away from the big rigs.
There are hiking trails. The cave is fenced off, it’s an easy hike which we did in the rain. It’s a loop, half of which is paved.

We stayed at Graham Cave in order to watch our daughter play a Lacrosse game at a local college. The campground is well shaded, quiet and a very sufficient campground to stay. They have hiking trails including to the cave, which isn't really as much of a cave but cavern. Some sites aren't real level, but there were plenty of good sites. For us, it is a park that serves the purpose of a quiet getaway, but don't expect a lot of wow factor to it.

Was a hot day (heat advisory) and we needed a place to plug in while traveling west on interstate 70. Besides the camp host, We were the only people there. Spaces are well shaded. 30 & 50 amp available. Showers and restrooms were clean but older and could use a little sprucing up. One washer and dryer laundry room also available for campers. Sites are asphalt relatively level. Senior and military rates. Discount for off season camping too.
Fishing, boating, Hiking trails and Graham Cave to keep you busy during your visit.

Nothing special. Uneven campsites. I did however love the hiking trails in park.
Park was pretty empty. Humidity was high, temperatures higher.

Very hilly and sharp turns. Took several tries to get into tarred spot between trees. Spots are not level. Not many people here. Have fan on so we can’t hear I-70 traffic. But so much better than RV parks right near I-70.
