“Kampgrounds of America”
At this KOA, you can take a lazy canoe ride under a bright canopy of leaves. There's great fishing in the creek, too! Meander along winding paths through extensive, lush rock gardens. Relax in the gazebo surrounded by flowers and herbs. The kids will enjoy our jump pad, playground, outdoor theater, swimming pool and oversized chess and checkers. Participate in themed weekends during the summer. Check out the Haunted House in October, a chilling experience. On weekends, stop by KOA's nostalgic Remember When Diner. Enjoy hamburgers and fries, pizza, or a crab cake dinner, as well as a full breakfast menu. Indulge in the soda fountain's old-fashioned malts, shakes and floats. With this KOA as your home base, visit Antietam, Gettysburg and Harpers Ferry battlegrounds. It's a great place for Scouts, church groups and family reunions. Pool: May 28 - September 5. Max pull thru: 60 feet. Your hosts: the Durham family.

Adorable campsite off interstate 81/70w .
The Site was located on the river and was so peaceful . It was very clean and communication was excellent! I needed to move my reservation to a day earlier and they confirmed via email immediately! Even though we arrived after hours the reservation information was waiting for us in a box. We were also greeted by other campers who were happy to assist us and help with setup. You don’t find this friendly welcome often. Judi is the best! The KOA website noted no internet but they had great internet for guests! I would definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Stopped here on return from FL road trip. Never Again that's for sure. KOA should be ashamed to have its name associated with this dump. It was dirty, poorly maintained, roads and sites tight. It only got 1 star since there is no option for 0 stars.

We only spent a night here on our travels elsewhere. The people who booked us were pleasant and friendly. They got us a pull through where we didn't have to detach our trailered car. We loved that this was NOT a campground that was right off the highway and upscale. Gravel road and sites in the campground, but paved until that point. Mostly level. Lovely river/creek alongside. Quiet. We didn't notice road noise when we walked around. Campground wifi worked fine for us for emails and browsing.
My husband ended up losing his wedding ring while getting under the motor coach to fix something. After we left the next day, he realized he had lost it. We called them later that day and offered a $100 reward if they found the ring. A day or so later, they called to say they found it. We stopped by a week or so later when we were passing back through, picked up the ring, and Robin refused to accept the reward.
This is the way camping is meant to be. Nice people, a more natural setting (versus over groomed and concrete everywhere).
Note: We will give stars for all requested, but we could not really comment on cleanliness since we didn't use any of the facilities there.

Spent one night here in transit and it was a pleasant experience. It is not far off the highway but you wouldn't know it. It is tucked away at the base of a ridge and bordering a creek. The sites are closer together because of the limited terrain but they do an adequate job of delineating and leveling them. The staff is friendly and helpful and they arrange many activities if that is your thing.

Stayed here for one night a number of years ago at a tent site. Since then we've upgraded to a small travel trailer. The site we were in was small but adequate and was fairly flat. What amazed me was that there was no electrical panel enclosure for the electric hookups and there were no circuit breakers. There was one, uncovered 30 amp outlet and another uncovered dual 120v outlet. I'm no electrical inspector but I would imagine this is a major violation of the electrical code. I noticed not all sites were like this. Many sites had the standard grey electrical enclosure that housed the various outlets.
This KOA, unlike so many of them, was somewhat off the beaten path so the noise from a busy interstate wasn't there...yeah! The setting is actually rather nice. There's a nice size creek running alongside the campground that gives the place more of a 'campground' feeling. Why in the world there are coded locks on the bathroom doors is a mystery to me. As mentioned earlier, the place is somewhat in the middle of nowhere with a single entry road to the place. Makes one wonder what they are so afraid of. That being said, the door to the mens shower room wouldn't close easily so it remained cracked open so the cipher door lock ended up being moot. The shower stalls were abysmal. The stalls are narrow, don't have enough hooks for hanging things and there is no shower curtain on the actual shower stall itself. There is a plastic shower curtain on the entrance to the stall from the outside instead of some sort of door. So, when you take a shower, because there is no shower curtain, water splashes all over, getting your dry stuff wet. Crazy. I think if the campground owners would take a shower in one of the stalls they would see first hand how flawed their design is.

We stayed for 14 days in a pull through full hookup site that was next to the hillside and cabins and close to the store, restaurant, pool and laundry room. The lettered sites are roomy with a table and firepit. The park seemed to fill up almost every night but emptied out again in the morning.
The park is 2 miles from the main road which might feel like it's a long way but it really isn't. There's a short section that is one lane so be aware that someone would have to wait if you met another RV.
I could see some being wary of the place due to the appearance - - the park could use some landscape maintenance; it appears that many shrubs are in need of a good trimming. The buildings themselves are in a bit of disrepair but the interiors are in good condition. There seems to be plenty of activities for kids. There are some seasonal campers but with our site being where it was, I didn't notice them.
This made a great central location for our visits to the civil war battlefields.

Stayed one night as I was driving through the area. I had reserved a site on the creek and got a call on the day of checkin asking if they could change my site due to the fact that there was a large group camping in that particular area of the campground and it might be loud for me. As it turned out I was given a much quieter spot and really appreciated the initiative and thoughtfulness. My site was clean, and it’s peaceful there with a lot of birds and a nice little creek. Now for a few cons: The sites are very close together, the road to the camp is pretty danged narrow and the roads IN the camp are even narrower. I did fine with a pickup camper but wouldn’t recommend it for a large trailer or a Class A.

We stopped here passing through on a Friday night. It’s a beautiful garden campground with pool, jump pad, playground, and restaurant. Only gripe was our full hookup site was super short. We had to park perpendicular to our RV. When hitching/unhitching the trailer you blocked the entire road so needed to move fast for any traffic.

Decent for an overnight stay. Full hookups. Very narrow site. Couldn’t put the awning out all the way because there was a tree in the way. Not very level. But, for the highlights… it’s right on a creek and if it hadn’t been raining, we would have launched our kayaks. The store was the nicest of all the KOA’s we’ve been in. Fully stocked. Nice staff. Fresh baked cookies when we checked in. They also have pizza and wings that they will deliver to your site.

Typical tight KOA, but the warning text from the campground came while we were almost there, on the road. Needless to say, it was scary with a one-lane bridge, an illegal left-hand turn (no choice), and very low branches everywhere. (The "preferred" method in the text message I copied below also had a lot of very low branches, but otherwise not as cardiac event inducing.)
Lots of noisy kids, but again, it's a KOA.
Campground text:
"DIRECTIONS: PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS OR YOUR GPS! From 81 N or S take Exit 4 to 70 W. From 70 W please take Exit 24 and follow the KOA signs. From 70 E take Exit 24 and keep right onto 63 and take the very first right onto Everly Rd. Follow KOA signs."
First site assigned, we could not level with a forklift. Office staff was courteous in assigning another, however.
Didn't use any amenities.
