Wow.
Firstly a few housekeeping type items for the review:
Weak cell service but usable
Big rig friendly
Laundry on site
Restaurant on site.
This is not your typical KOA. This is a full blown resort. What an amazing experience we had here. Everything you want in a campground. If you're in the area worth the stop.

It’s okay for a quick overnight. It says WiFi, but there is no service when you try to hook up to it. No cable and cell service is barely there. If you’re visiting during warm weather you could swim, but that wasn’t my case. There are only weeds growing between sites.
On the positive side, there was a pretty good restaurant onsite that even delivers to your site. The site was fairly level. The check-in was quick.
I could have saved money by staying at a non KOA campground since the WiFi/cable/cell was lacking or not available.

We stopped here for 1 night. I wasn’t sure what to expect based on a review. But it was pretty nice. Clean bathrooms, the WiFi was perfect for my sons to do school and to stream Netflix. There isn’t cable but streaming worked. It is a big park and our site was level. We used the laundry (2.00 & 2.50) it was small with only 3 washers, 3 dryers. There are a lot of activities such as the escape room (we weren’t able to play due to us getting there right before closing. I would have liked to stay an extra night. The only thing needed was the grass to be cut.

This KOA appears to be relatively new with very nice cement pads and grass. I came later in the evening and picked up my envelope from the night box. The Wi-Fi password was not written on the map unfortunately but I don’t usually use the Wi-Fi since it’s usually awful but since this place is newer maybe it’s good. There was a store and restaurant/bar attached to the campground at the entrance.

This is a nice looking place and we had a site overlooking the pond. It was very nice to sit and watch the ducks and geese swimming by and on our last morning there the ducks and geese crossed the front of our campsite, all of them together looking for food in the grass. It was very peaceful.
I mention the peacefulness because the day before I saw a young boy throwing rocks at the geese and the ducks.
I went out side and yelled at him to quit throwing rocks at the birds. To this he replied his grandfather works at the RV park and he was going to tell him about me yelling at him to stop trowing rocks at the birds.
Later, I saw the boy riding in one of the work vehicles with an older man.
I went up to the vehicle to talk with the person, assuming (correctly) he was the grandfather. I asked if he knew about the boy throwing rocks at the birds. The boy had told him about what had happened and to my surprise he was fine with it. He informed me he had been out earlier doing the same thing and that another person working there would take a pellet gun out and try to hit the birds.
I was told different reasons why they felt it was fine to go out and throw rocks and shoot pellets at the birds.
First, it was because there is an Egyptian goose that bothers the other birds.
My reply was that the other birds can always fly away, and I pointed out to the grandfather that the boy was throwing rocks at the Egyptian goose, the white geese and the ducks.
That changed the reason for it being ok to throw rocks and shoot pellets at the birds to their pooping on the tables at the RV sites near the pond and that upsets people and they complain about the mess. I watched the birds for a good 45 minutes as they were walking in front of the RV sites across from the pond and none of the birds sat on a table.
I suggested that if they did not want to live with nature then they should get rid of the pond, not try to kill the birds. Rocks and especially pellets will kill a bird of that size. That went over like a lead ballon.
I then went in to talk with the manager of the RV park and he felt the same as the grandfather. They want to get ride of the geese and figured that was the best way to do it.
This place may look nice and a fun place but not for the geese. Know that if you go to this RV park you are condoning their action of throwing rocks and shooting pellets at the geese. For some reason they felt the ducks are ok to be in their pond, I think ducks also poop and may at times sit on a table, but I guess that is all right with them.
The other thing I found so sad about this situation was teaching a young child that it is ok to hurt birds. Again if you go to this RV park you are also condoning that action.

We have family DFW area and have stayed here at least 4 times in the last two years. Clean level sites, good even power and water pressure. Small laundry room but clean. Campground is well taken care of with a lovely peaceful lake and great views. We love the on site BBQ restaurant and the staff has always been helpful and pleasant. We look forward to our next visit!
