We chose the campground because Hitch-N-Post RV Park was full. They were very nice and pointed us to the other two campgrounds in town. The Crazy horse RV campark is well set up, nice shady sites, but has not been taken care of for a long while.
The buildings are in dire need of some TLC, two of the washing machines and a dryer were out of order. The wifi was ok most of the time, but sometimes very slow. The plastic flowers of the neighboring cemetery tend to blow into the campground.
The trash was overflowing for a full day, and we were instructed to just put the trash next to the container. On the other hand putting your laundry on a line was not allowed.
We still had a good time here, this was on walking distance of the Kanab BLM office where the lottery is held every morning for the hike to the Wave. And guess what: we won the lottery on the second day, so decided to stay two more nights!

The owners here are very accommodating, even texted me after our phone call kept getting dropped to say they had a space for us on the dates we needed. Let them know if you need satellite access, they'll put work to put you where you'll connect.
We had a 30 amp FHU site and everything worked fine. We never could get level, and the people next to us had both front tires far off the ground. Roads and sites are dirt with mowed weeds in some areas. Some nice trees for shade if needed. Cemetery next door so quiet neighbors. WiFi works great.
There are several permanent residents who have not maintained their sites or their units which give the park a very run down feel. The residents also walked through our site, stood there talking while their dogs did their business. All were quiet though, and the park is wonderfully dark at night. There is some road noise, but not bad.
The real issue we had was the amount of stickers in the weeds at our site. Every time the dog went out we had to spend 30 minutes pulling them out of her paws and fur. There was no where to avoid them and they were miserable.
Walk to Escobar's for great food and service!

We were crowded into a small site next to a construction trailer with a very noisy crew that came in with loud trucks. Such an overcrowded place. We should have gone across the street to J and J's. We had an unlevel gravel site with full hookup.
Never again 😢

When reading negative reviews about this campground (on here or other platforms), take into consideration new ownership took over in Dec 2018. The park now has completely remodeled bathrooms, laundry room, and pool. Plus, they have a small (but well stocked) convenience store that also sells propane.
Some sites have lots of room and a grassy area. Other sites are a little more cramped. Some shade and nice views. All utilities work well - including the Wifi from our site.
The park is at the end of town and only about a mile from several nice restaurants. Kanab has an ACE hardware and 2 grocery stores for replenishing supplies.
There are a couple of nice boondocking locations within 45 minutes north and south of here, so this park is a great place to spend a couple of nights to dump/fill your tanks and get some laundry done. Oh, and a dip in the pool after a week of off-grid camping will be a bonus.

Called on a Saturday to get a spot for the next day and they were happy to accommodate our 40’rig. We arrived and pulled into the spot but realized that it didn’t have the 50a service we requested. The manager came over and personally took us around the park till we decided on a spot which was a back in rather than a pull through. There was plenty of space and this newbie did it in the very 1st try.
The spot could be more level but the large grassy area with picnic table and fire ring with huge shade trees made up for it ten fold!! The staff is amazing here! We look forward to coming back again when ever we’re back in the area!!

We went on a trip "out West" during the pandemic. This stop was my favorite of the entire 5.5 week journey.
This campsite has a beautifully done bathroom with A/C. Laundry facilities were adequate, and they had COVID-related protocols in place. The heat in the area is dry heat so we didn't turn on our A/C in the PUP the entire time, even though it was over 90 degrees some days.
It seemed as though there were quite a few seasonal/full time RVs in the lot, but not many of them had people there while we were there. We were traveling with one other family and we felt almost as if we were the only people there.
Other than what others have shared, and the fact that Kanab is central to So.Many.Places... I'll add that this location is within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. 2 minute drive to 2 grocery options. Quiet with a pretty view.
Management was very accommodating when I added my Good Sam (I forgot to tell them when we booked), and when we wanted to extend our stay by one night.
We drove by several other lots as we drove around to sight see, and none of them looked half as nice as this place. I would definitely stay again!

I’m staying here for a month and had high hopes for this park after reading other reviews about their COVID precautions. Unfortunately, zero precautions are being taken currently.
Of the 3 employees I’ve interacted with, none were wearing masks, including the manager. She half-heartedly held a bandana under her nose. When another guest questioned the manager about why her employee wasn’t wearing a mask, she defended the employee while he put on an elaborate charade about how he “just noticed” his mask was missing, “where did it go?!” 🙄 The employees are friendly and helpful, but the pandemic needs to be taken seriously.
There are signs on the door to the bathroom/shower house, which in today’s day and age, usually warn about coronavirus. Nope. These are about securely closing the door behind you when you enter/exit (there’s a key pad to open the door). The park seems to care more about non-guests potentially getting a free shower than any safety protocols. Other guests do not wear masks in the indoor bathrooms.
Sites are sloped and hard to get level.
The amenities have been fine, although I wish there was a large sink for washing dishes or rinsing clothes, and I wish the laundry machines took credit cards instead of coins. There are 3 different wifi networks to choose from, which is nice when one gets slow.
Monthly rate this time of year is $585 (including electric surcharge).

We stayed one night while passing through the area. The park is generally nice with fairly spacious spots. Our spot was very unlevel but most other areas appeared to be much more level. They were fairly full so we did not ask to change sites as it was only one night. I would avoid spots 42 through 44 due to being unlevel and back to back, back in spots which could be difficult if both sites were occupied. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Our spot was the road, or was the road supposed to be our spot...? It was very strange. Not sure what seating /fire pit was meant for our spot. Instead we sat at our neighbors table to have dinner. We were promised they would bring a table but that never happened.
We literally parked where everyone was driving until we blocked the path.
The showers were newer but there was nowhere for the soap to be placed and the space underneath the stall was way too high, about 3 feet high. Anyone could have easily entered. I did not feel comfortable while in the shower. Not too clean either.
The dog area was beyond despicable. A fenced run with the propane tank in the middle, all gravel. At least there was some grass next to the basketball course.

This is the worst campground we’ve used since buying our RV two years ago. Our site was on a significant slope in the back of the complex with a number of really run down permanent campers parked around us lots of junk left everywhere. Manny vehicles pulling up briefly to one of the permanent sites that appear to be doing drug deals. Can’t believe this is a Good Sam site!
