This is a really nice campground with spacious campsites and lots of trees, though it’s relatively small by the number of sites. Quickest way to the campground is via the Fall River Road entrance. There’s minimal to zero Verizon service here, though it’s possible to walk out the back of C loop and up to the visitor center where the signal is better and the visitor center has free basic WiFi. Flush toilets and water in bath houses and water at a few spigots in the campground, though it has no showers. There is no dump station or fresh water fill station here for your camper, so come prepared for that.
Some sites for vans & other RVs are surprisingly level, while others are typical of NP campgrounds.

This campground sits just inside the Fall River Rd Entrance to RMNP, and is nicely settled among the trees. The location is very convenient to Horseshoe Park and Estes Park. The sites are very tight and there is not a lot of privacy. The cost was $17/night, plus a $9 reservation fee. There is no cell phone service at this campground.
They were building a new bathroom in the B loop, but it was not open and we had a bit of a walk to the closest bathroom.
There were a lot of families and others enjoying campfires, making this a tad busier and noisier than I prefer, but considering it was the height of the vacation season, it really was not bad and it was quiet after quiet hours commenced.
What I liked:
Convenient location
Scenic location - views of MacGregor and Deer Mountains, Fall River
Elevation is above 8,000', making for nice cool summer temps
Nice night skies
What could have been better:
Larger sites
Closer bathroom

Very well kept NPS campground. Our spot was just along the river, in the open, but very roomy. NPS website states 30’ max, but recreation.gov allows reservations for rigs up to 35’ in a couple spots, including this one, and we got in just fine with our 35’ class A. Parking spot immediately across for our tow vehicle. On the northeast side of the park, very close to horseshoe park, the entrance to the Fall River Road and all the other east side attractions. Just a short drive from Estes Park for those who must have their Starbucks in the morning. No hookups. Dump station in Beaver Meadows campground which we used without a problem. Site did have a bit of extra backward slope, so good to have some blocks, even with automatic levelers. Others appeared similar. Very spotty cell coverage. Very occasionally 2 bars Verizon LTE, but wouldn’t count on it. Usually No Service.

Great access to the park. You have to drive the Old Fall River Road. Unless you are scared of heights and drop offs and amazing views.
Bathrooms are brand new and clean.

This was a lovely campground in the national park. There wasn’t much privacy at the site but the scenery was great. This campground has bear lockers at every site and they strongly recommend you use them.
