“waterfront trail!”
The RV Park has 25 units and is located next to the Kestner Waterfront Park at the western end of the four mile paved, non-motorized, waterfront trail and only a half mile from Downtown Houghton along the lit trail. Amenities include: paved sites, water and sewer connections, 20-30-50 amp electric service, satellite TV with 16 channels, Wi-Fi; with a covered patio, picnic table, park bench, BBQ grill, and fire ring at each site. We do not accept pop-up campers or tents as there are no bathroom/shower facilities in the park. The Kestner Waterfront Park consists of a sandy bathing beach, pavilion, picnic tables, fishing piers, boat launch, and Chutes and Ladders playground.

A very nicely maintained, but fairly tightly spaced C/G tiered at different levels so each site overlooks the busy Keweenaw Waterway. Located on edge of a larger waterfront city park that would give you access to downtown Houghton. Close to shopping, eating and the Mich Tech Univ. This is mining country (or was) so be sure to visit their outstanding MTU Gem museum.

Wonderful little city campground at the heart of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums and the university. Beach and boating at your doorstep, with a bike path that passes through the campground. World class mountain biking in the area, and interesting mine tours. However, there is a limited number of sites and they are booked well in advance so you need to plan ahead.
Be sure to check out the Keweenaw Brewing Company and Peterson's Fish Market.

We were so fortunate to get 4n (had to move sites half way through)at the last minute. Apparently, people sit by their phones to book upon opening day. It’s a small campground of two rows with what appeared full season renters on the waterfront. Our kids loved the Shoot n Ladders playground, beach area & bike pathway into town. Views of boats, sea planes landing & the drawbridge were also a highlight. Lovely covered picnic table at your site made outdoor eating easy!

Level concrete sites FHU and everything works. Easy fit for 40’ SuperC. WiFi good, cable but our satellite worked fine.

Very friendly Camphost and accommodating. Due to a car issue, we asked to come in a day early. No problem. It does get busy on the weekends, but during the week lot of open spots. 5,6,7 are pretty roomy. Bathrooms are clean with 4 shower stalls with hot water. It’s a great base camp for those going to Isle Royale NP. Felt very safe to leave our rig. The sites vary with some just offering electric and some just offering water. Site 5 is 50amp and has water. Dump station is at entrance. There is a beautiful park along the canal (walking distance) to rent Kayaks. Excellent WiFi at #6

This is a great place to base out of to explore Houghton and the U. P. Walking distance to town and area attractions. Camp host is friendly and accommodating. You do have road noise but it gets quite in the evening. If you have children traveling with you try to get site 23 or the other 2 next to it. It's right next to the playground and beach. We traveled in a 30ft 5th wheel trailer. Any bigger it might be a tight fit for that space.

Wish we could stay longer! We are full time RVers that work from our rig all day and require great internet. They have have free WiFi that works great! Perfect location to Copper Harbor, Calumet and walking distance to downtown Houghton. It’s next to the city park/playground so perfect for the kids. You can easily put in your kayak or SUP at the beach that is connected to the park. And the camp hosts! Super nice and super helpful! We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great location, close to town, but be aware, many of the sites are sloping. We spent an hour on trying to level on site 8 to no avail. Luckily it was early in tye season and there were other options…we pulled onto site 11 and leveled without an issue. We then were walking around the pad and tried to figure out why there was a pile of dirt on the pad. On closer inspection, it was decomposing poop!!!!! This must have been here for months!!!!! Then looked at the fire pit and it had trash in it. Camp hosts were around very little. It appears their only job is to do site management and clean up, no bathrooms, and they are not doing a very good job at all. Disgusting poop that needs a broom to clean up!!!!!
