“Excuse me...do you mind if we pull right next to you?”
We are all looking for the same thing...a place to camp in Moab for the weekend. 5th wheel? Class A? Vanlifer? Tent? Sure! Come on in and park somewhere.
No cell service as you drive down the road...but don’t worry. Best AT&T signal in the area.
If you’re lucky enough to get a spot along the rim with these views...you’re lucky enough!

This BLM camping area is past the group sites which must be reserved. Keep going down the dirt road and you’ll see some RVs set up down a little ways. Access was good, no four wheel drive needed. About 6-7 campers there during our stay. Most appeared to be mountain bikers. Great location if exploring Canyonlands Island in the Sky or Dead Horse State Park. Pretty close to Gemini Bridges Trailhead. Would definitely stay here again.

This campground is just before you enter Canyonlands park. There are 5 very large campsites. The views are gorgeous. There is no light pollution here and the view of the Milkyway is incredible.

Came here after finding both Horsethief and Cowboy campgrounds full. It was quite crowded on at 5pm on a Saturday but we managed to snag a spot for our 30 ft RV right by the edge with a fire ring. Also nice to have LTE reception.

The view from our spot was breathtaking. There was a fire pit made from previous campers. It was very secluded, easy to find and a fairly clean environment. There was a little dirt road we found our spot in, we chose this place because were driving a Honda Accord and had no problems

Great spot outside the park with beautiful views. It was fairly empty with plenty of space between sites.

I camped in this area during Memorial Day weekend. First arriving, the campground was nearly full so I looked elsewhere. I continued west where I noticed many campers in makeshift sites that have been clearly used for camping prior to them but no signage. It looked like many, including myself just picked clearings off of two tracks for dispersed camping sites.

Stayed here on a Saturday and didn't arrive until 6:30 PM, this wasn't a problem however as I had the general area to myself. We pulled into one of the sites and set up our tent, the pad was a little rocky although it wasn't that bad at all. There were 3 sites near us which we expected to fill up, however, nobody showed up to claim that night. We had an amazing view overlooking the valley and an even better view of the stars that night. There were fire rings at every site, although you can't currently use them because of fire restrictions. I'd highly recommend this campground to anyone, although you should note that if you are in a smaller vehicle you might want to go somewhere else as the road getting here is pretty bumpy. As an aside, the phone signal here is great also!

We loved this site! Very easy to access - on the main road to Canyonlands, take the right turn following the sign labeled "Lone Mesa Campground". The first sites are group sites, but those ask for a reservation and payment. After that, no more than 1/2 mile down the road, there are multiple side roads to turnoff on, and a variety of open sites to choose from. Amazing sunrise spot as well! Relatively flat, most have a fire pit, only about 20 minutes from the gates to Canyonlands. Only had a few other campers around us, it's a quiet, peaceful spot.

Stayed here Aug 25,2020. Found the highest point with established site. Had the entire area to ourselves. Late night arrivals came but kept their distance and left before we got up. Maybe day hikers wanting an early start? Would definitely stay here again!
