Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on July 28, 2023It was chilly in early May, but the views over Strawberry Reservoir were amazing. Nice, open sites (very few trees) but they were level. Full hookup or dry camping options, but the dump station fee was $10 so it was worth paying for a full hookup site since we needed to dump anyway.
This place would be great in the summer - I can imagine the boating on the lake is amazing!
I'm not sure what our un-boosted signal was, but we had surprisingly great signal with the booster and/or antenna for being out in the middle of nowhere. It was definitely workable!

Beware, government site states a price of $35. Not so. It’s $39. Last year was $24. That’s a 62% increase. Ridiculous!!! P.s., there are no improvements, but you do get a free dump token! Yippee!!!!

Our site was a pull-through with amazing views of the lake for $40, which included free dumping when we left. Most of the other sites were occupied with campers who were there for the whole season (May - October). Our loop didn't have any hookups and the generators got more than a little irritating, but when they weren't running it was incredibly quiet. Our other challenge was the camp manager's dogs, who roamed free and liked to use our site as a bathroom. If we were staying longer we would have tried to manage that, but since we were only staying a night, we kept our dog inside and dealt with it. The lake and the views were just amazing, though, and it was super easy to explore on a kayak.

This is a National Forest campground with no hookups, except for one loop. This is run by a concession instead of the Forest, but the Senior Pass and Access Pass are honored, making it reasonable to stay here. This campground has multiple loops and I liked it so much, I stayed here 2 different times in 2 different loops, both with water views. There is a marina with a small store and restaurant. It's about 25 miles south of Heber City, Utah on Route 40. My blog has photos.... https://landcruisingadventure.blogspot.com/2018/09/strawberry-reservoir-utah.html

Camped here in mid May. Good pull through site directly on the water. Was able to keep my cartop boat beached at my campsite. No hookups in this loop but there is a loop with full hookups. Marina @ 1mile away with small restaurant and very few groceries. Bring all you need because the nearest groceries were at Heber City over 20 miles distant. Dump available for $10. Boat launch availability at Marina for $8.

Most of the spots are pull-through so nice not to in-hutch the tow.
Not much out here so bring everything you want or need.
Quiet, windy and warm in the summertime, it’s Utah :-)
Nightly rate is $24 but my Sr Pass works so $12 a night if your in that club.
This is one of the first camping areas outside Salt Lake City so crowded on weekends so definitely make reservations in summer.

Loved this spot! We only stayed one day and wish it were more. We drove in on a late June Wednesday night with no reServation. There were about 10 available spots on the loop we were on (loop F? Can’t remember). Very friendly camp host. Paid her directly. She told us which spot was best and it was: view of lake, flat, near exceptionally clean bathrooms. Lots of prairie dogs. All spots have lots of space between next ones and are wooded, have picnic tables (most covered). A very well run, maintained and clean spot. And quiet!!

Clean, spacious sites. Loved having 2 tables and a wind block/cover over one table. The lake level seems a bit low but we still were able to SUP around quite a bit. Camp hosts were very friendly, bathrooms were clean. Sites and roads are a bit older, so some bumps and leveling required. Overall great stop.

We stayed in a dry camping area Loop C, site C01. The site is gravel with an attached concrete slab where there's two picnic tables, the site was very spacious and private enough that we didn't even close our blinds at night. There's no shade which was great for our solar and the views were stunning!
We have a Starlink so had great internet connection.
There is a water/dump station before the entrance of the campground to fill up with water. The fee to use the dump station is $12. Have your supplies ready and in place though, once you pay you are on a timer so you'll want to be quick.
Lots of hiking trails in the area, lots of ATV trails and of course the beautiful Strawberry Reservoir is great for boating and fishing.
