Half the sites are on the lake and perfect. The rest are next to the main road and noisey. No reservation options so getting a shore site is a nightmare, but worth it.

The lake is a gem! There is frequently a strong northwest breeze that sends ripples across the lake and keeps the air fresh.
There is plenty of shade, which was great as it can get warm during the day—but my trailer’s solar panels couldn’t do their job. (Luckily I arrived with fully charged batteries!)
The lakeside sites are right on the water. The other sites back up to CA 158.
It is possible to reserve sites here through recreation.gov.
I stayed here during the week after the Fourth of July so it wasn’t busy at all.
Trailers up to 17 feet can be backed into many of the sites. The parking sites for trailers seem originally to have been designed for parking cars. Some trailer parking spots are more level than others.
There are plenty of places to get potable water, and there are flush toilets.
I was able to get one to three bars on the Verizon network.
There is a laundromat about a mile west on the CA 158, which backs the campground.

We camped here on a whim when we were able to snag a cancellation. Stayed in spot 7 which is lakefront and rated for a 40 foot RV; however, our 32 foot barely fit and it was quite tough to get it in there! Site would be awesome for a smaller rig or tent. Lots of black flies and mosquitoes which is expected on the water during warmer months. Just make sure you come prepared! Gull lake is pretty small but great for fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. There is a rope swing the kids love.

Gull Lake Campground is a smaller, 11-site camping area. While located in a relatively isolated area, it is still only half a mile's walk from a complex of lodges and hotels that sits between Gull Lake and June Lake, and only one and a half miles from the main part of the town of June Lake. The result is a smaller and quieter campground in a forested, lakeside area that still enjoys convenient access to surrounding stores and restaurants. Gull Lake has water taps, access to hiking trails and shore fishing, and welcomes pets that are kept on a leash.
