Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on September 06, 2022We were heading to arches national park and we were going to free camp, we realised that it was really hot so at the last minute we found this place it is now called sun outdoors. What can I say, the reception ladies were friendly and helpful. The pool was fantastic to dive straight into. We even got our washing done. It was quiet and peaceful spot. I would definitely stay again.
We were booked for three nights but only stayed two. All gravel, zero grass. No dog run and the sites are so narrow your neighbors are right on top of you. Zero privacy. Very limited shade, we happened to have one of a very few sights with a mature tree. Don’t book the “premier” backin sites. Not worth it and again, zero shade which is kinda important on 102 degree days. They refused to refund our third night. Stay somewhere else.
Site 10:
Our Extra Long Full Back In Site was long, but very sloped so we couldnt use the full length. As it was, our normal extra 8 inch step needed to be 16 inches to reach our rigs step. The site was already very narrow, but because of the cable box placement and tree limbs hanging over the site, it was at most 165 inches side to side. The picnic table was placed at the back because there was no room for anything but slides. So when the description says room for slide outs, it means that there wont be room to walk around your rig on either side. It was also very sloped side to side.
Pulling into the site, we had to use the opposite site and our neighbor next to us was kind enough to move their truck so we could have room to back into the site because of a low, overhanging, thick branch. While we were trying to move into the site, a staff member pulled up in a golf cart and from the other side of the road, yelled Is he going to hit the tree?while I was trying to prevent our rv from hitting the tree while I was standing close to the diesel engine because there was no room to maneuver in the site.
If you want room for more than just your slides, reserve site 9.
We used the dog park once because it smelled so bad. Both dog parks are covered in turf instead of grass or pea gravel. They both smell like old poo from 20 feet away. I didnt go into the playground, but that was right next door, and I can only assume how bad it smelled.
Most of the views are blocked. The pool and spa were nice, but small. The staff was nice.

Extremely expensive for our pull-thru site w/full hook-ups. Was originally $143 but with veteran's discount was still $109/night! Dog park sad. Very busy here, especiallyon weekends & crammed sites. Absolutely NO cell service nor internet. positive aspects were that it's got a gas/diesel station. Has a propane fill station. A very small convenience store, as well.

All in all this was a fine little park. The guy at the front desk was particularly nice, as we'd arrived during some type of off road Jeep festival and there were no spots available, and yet somehow he managed to make one for us. Basically he said, "if you stop over, I'll see what I can do..." And he did.
What I recall the most of this place is the cottonwoods, which were shedding their "cotton", almost like snow and blanketing everything. Allergenic, yes, but still beautiful.
And the caterpillars. Thousands of them. Crawling everywhere, up your legs, into your shirt, relentless in their inching around pursuits. As night fell I thought they'd left, but like a scene from Tremors 4: Caterpillars of Moab, as I lit our campfire they evacuated the heat, those which could make it quickly enough, and swarmed out of the pit a blanket of crawly, if not particularly creepy.

This was our first time staying in this campground. It's easy to get to but getting out of it with a large trailer might be difficult because of all the traffic. We had a hard time backing in to our site because there wasn't enough room from all the other cars/trucks/ATV's that were on the road. The ladies who worked the front counter were very nice and friendly. They did offer heated pool and also hot tubs. There are no open fires allowed in the campground. For how busy it was, it was not noisy. We decided we would only come back and stay here if we are in route to somewhere else, as the sites are so close together.

Originally put in sites 106 which we could not get into and would not have been able to get slides out. After destroying our awning motor and cover trying to get out of the site we got 71 which was manageable. Lesson learned, it is OK to ask for a different site but everything in town was full and options were limited. They do have a pool and hot tub which we did not use due to hours they were open

We arrived on a Friday night, dozen and dozen of side by sides zooming around and reving their engines, then when it got dark we heard a fight raging a few sites away, 5 cop cars were here within 2 minutes and hauled one dude away. As for the campground the amenities are lacking and the sites are very tight. The one positive the central location and the mature trees.
I don’t think we’d return

It was expensive for what it was, but was in a convienent location. We had a back in site along the back fence. It was just big enough for our 22 ft trailer and truck. Would’ve given 4 stars had either of the two hot tubs had had water in them...
