“rustic yet relaxing get-away”
Tres Rios RV Resort has long been a favorite destination for campers looking for a rustic yet relaxing get-away. In the early 1930s Tres Rios was home to a YWCA camp, and now, more than 70 years later, Tres Rios offers full hook-up RV accommodations and a variety of charming cabins that will accommodate 4-14 people. Nestled amongst native Texas pecan and oak trees on 47 spacious acres, Tres Rios is named for the three rivers that converge on the resort's southern point -- the Brazos River, Paluxy River, and Squaw Creek. Fishing, boating, swimming, and rafting are favorite activities for our guests...as are day trips to nearby Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and Dinosaur Valley State Park. Through the years Tres Rios has evolved into a comfortable and familiar gathering spot for large family gatherings and weekends with friends. We offer spacious meeting rooms perfect for family reunions, as well as regular activities including jam sessions, kayak demonstrations, and community clean-ups of the surrounding rivers.

We've never stayed in a campground that allowed barking dogs all day every day, campers surrounding us all leave outside lights, rope lights and other decorative lights on all night long. Car alarms going off, people coming and going all hours of the night, a screaming parrot (YES! A VERY large parrot). But the worst was the salesman being so rude and disrespectful. Don't ask someone if they like the place if you don't want an honest answer. And this "membership" is very much a timeshare. Considering there is only 1 location in all of Texas, it's not convenient for us but we were told we could simply say no and that would be okay. Well when the woman we had got up, the pushy, rude man sat down. Even had the nerve to tell us if we like state parks maybe we should move our RV and go stay at one.
This visit, our one and only with this company and location, was gifted to us by our RV dealer. We will be reporting back to them how we were treated also.
What happened to RV/campground etiquette? Just because you have a "membership" doesn't negate the common courtesy of peace, quiet and darkness. None of which you get at this place. On top of the fact our site was mud, no fire pits and it seemed like people were set up here for quite some time.
