Beautiful views and beautiful area but an awful experience, left 1 day early as I was feeling so unsafe. There are houses just outside the campground. One of the men who lives there walks through the campground at least twice daily, coming from the wooded area with a 9mm pistol on his belt along with a large knife and bullets. He came up to our table while we were eating and sat down uninvited, at one point pulling the pistol out and setting it on the table. He asked us for alcohol. Later in the evening he was back drinking with some other campers, at about 9pm while we were sitting around the fire, there were numerous gunshots coming from the direction he walked. We went to the campground host who said he knew the guy and that he was "harmless", this while he was sitting by his camper smoking pot.
Additionally, the roads are so potholed, our Equinox bottomed out twice
