The hot spring is completely natural, small and warm. I was surprised by the campground. It has one site large enough for our 30ft trailer and truck to fit without unhitching the trailer. The other sites are smaller, but all are flat. They are spaced far apart and have picinic tables. It’s super quiet and clean. There are only a handful of sites, so getting a spot is lucky. We enjoyed our soak and the night sky. Worth the long drive on the dirt road. Oh, and swim suits are optional, so don’t be surprised if your fellow soakers are in the buff.

It is 26 miles of dirt road off the freeway. But the first 24 is very packed so easy to go 40 mph on, 50 if you’re feeling keen for some Tokyo Drift action. There’s a few picnic tables and fire pits, land is pretty flat. I’m sure you could park some RV’s here. The water in the hot spring is a beautiful 101 degrees, and the cold pool that it feeds into is probably in the 80’s, albeit a bit murky. When the sun is setting and you’re pissing into the cool breeze take in the majesty that is southeast Oregon. Beautiful colors and landscapes. Other worldly. AND there’s a hot springs and it’s free, it can’t get much better. Zero T-Mobile service, I guess it did just get better!

Nice and quiet in the middle of nowhere. Surrounded by sage brush, cows, and birds. About five other campers very spread out. Long washboard dirt road to get here.

Heads up, there was a tragedy at this campground April 21, 2024 so the cops have closed it down. I did not get word for how long but I'm guessing for at least the next couple of days. Call local law enforcement for updates if you intend to camp here soon.
Picnic tables, metal fire rings with grill top, a vault toilet that was a bit dirty with cobwebs inside, with decent Verizon cell service. I was able to stream movies and work remotely. I saw instances of 1-3 bars of LTE but stable enough to stream. Kind of spotty but not bad enough to impede streaming etc.
I'll come again. The hot springs were very relaxing and hot! Really felt like it recharged my body a bit.
