This place is super easy to get to. Turn West off the 139 onto Eagle Creek Road. The entrance to the park is on the right after about .5 miles. The grounds are not set up very organized so arriving during the day is better. The roads go in all directions and can be narrow with branches sticking out.

Despite being right off the main highway 139, there was not much road noise. Could have been blocked by trees.

The sites themselves are very pretty. Trees everywhere, fire pits, grill, and sturdy big picnic tables.

Cell service for AT&T and Verizon was great even without a booster.

We staying in mid July so it was pretty hot, above 90* which is why we chose to pay at this campground as opposed to using the free BLM spots a few miles down the road that are lake front. The free lakefront spots have little to no trees/shade. There were also a TON of bugs.

The regular price is $8 a night however, there is a 50% discount if you have an interagency pass. We used out America the Beautiful Pass and only paid $4. Not a bad price to have shade :)

Back to hosting for the summer. We have two young eagles in the nest, excited to watch how they grow. The vaulted toilets are brand new and wheel chair accessible. We are working on a few sites to make them accessible. Have a great season and safe travels

We enjoyed our one night stay very much and will definitely be back. The campground is very clean and well maintained. BLM recently installed new bathrooms and they are SUPER clean (pit toilets only). The sites range from small tent sites to a handful that would fit big rigs. We came in our 40’ class A towing a trailer with our Jeep JKU and did not have any problems getting into site #1. There are lots of trees and a good view of the lake (through the trees). Lawrence, the camp host, was very nice and takes great care of the campground! He even directed us to the Bald Eagle nest just past the NW edge of the campground. We asked if the campground fills up in the summer and Lawrence told us they average about 4-8 visitors regularly. We had one other camper while we were there and there was absolutely no noise. Other than the occasional car traveling down Eagle Lake Road this place is very quiet. I do work from our rig so internet is important to me. We had 3 to 4 bars of AT&T 4G cell service, but the data service was spotty with no booster. At times i got 3 mbps and other times almost nothing, but the call quality was great. This place is a hidden gem!

Super clean! The host takes amazing care of this campsite. All the vault toilets are brand new so they are super clean. Great campsite if you want to be in the trees and not exposed if it’s windy out. When we stayed it was fairly windy and we have a tent trailer and couldn’t even feel the wind. Would definitely come back!

We only stayed 1 night, but I would've stayed longer. Sites 9 & 10 have great views. There are mosquitoes when its early in the evening, bring bug spray or citronella! The camp host is really nice, the vault toilets are super clean and the sites are flat, with lots of trees and space!

Very steep both in and out on the access road from Hwy 36 and 139. No problem, just go slow.

Great sites. Level, roomy, and fire rings. Clean restrooms and good water. Good bike & walking paths. Good lake access and very scenic.

This was a perfect camp for an overnight as we are driving from Oregon to Mammoth. The host was very helpful and sweet. The bathrooms were extremely clean. We had a view of the lake and a gorgeous sunset! Our dogs had the best time running around and enjoying the sights.

Lovely BLM campground with 20 sites. About half-full July 4th weekend. Nice host with a friendly, greying pit-mix.

No hookups. Several bathrooms, which we didn't use. Views of Eagle Lake from the sites at the top of the campground. Other sites are more shaded. Spaces are moderately to very spacious.

Good cell reception with Google Fi and Verizon. Definitely will be back.
