Wow was this windy. Just an asphalt parking lot with the flush toilet at the bottom of the hill. Was really easy to get to BYU or to drive into SLC. Truly not a place to stay for beauty but much cheaper than a hotel. There is wind blocking by trees around picnic tables so that helps feel more private. A group of campers were workers in the area

At first glance, this RV park is nothing more than a parking lot on the side of the road. The sites are generally short and narrow enough that you have to park your tow vehicle/toad across the parking lot. There's no green space between the sites; it's all behind them. Several sites have picnic tables, and some are even hidden back in private little clearings in the woods.
But then you see there are several steep trails down to the city park just below, which has picnic areas, sports fields, a golf course, a pond, and a great bike trail that goes all the way to downtown Spanish Fork and beyond.
There's also a dump station at the end of the lot, and there's electricity and potable water between every two sites. Even though it's right off the road, there isn't much road noise.
There is some trash behind the sites, and watch for deer if you're arriving in the afternoon or around dusk. Also, as another reviewer noted, it gets REALLY windy at night, although it's pretty much still during the day.
It's fairly easy to get in and out, but approach the entrance slowly because it sneaks up on you. If you're coming from Highway 6, pass the golf course entrance and the entrance to the park. It's the next entrance, and it's hidden around a curve. You don't want to go in the second entrance to the RV park because it's really steep.

Canyon View is a city owned and operated parking lot with W/E hookups. It's very clean but has very little character. The spaces are clearly marked and much wider than I anticipated. The best part is that most spaces back up to green space with mowed lawns and picnic tables. Our dog loved the grass and the deer that would wander past.
Road noise is a bit excessive during the day (gravel trucks were notable) but quieted down in the evening. The first entrance is the one you want! The second is steep with abrupt transitions which would be problematic for many rigs.
We were here before Memorial day and had the first section to ourselves.
I was too lazy to put up the cell antenna and amplifier for Verizon, but the AT&T Mobley was quite happy, at least for downloads.

I would give it 1 star but everyone else raves about it so it must be me. But still. The only thing this place has going for it in my opinion, is it's relatively cheap. I rolled in on a Friday night and I did not like the vibe at all. It was like creeper Central. The sites are not at all level, and when people have wide slide outs and awnings it makes it feel very cramped. I backed into a site and tried to convince myself that I would be able to put up with the creepy dude next door for one night since it was 95° and I really wanted air conditioning. After sitting there for three minutes, I realized it was a lost cause and I wasn't going to be happy staying there. I pulled out and went to Walmart. And had a very quiet night. It's also a bit of a challenge to get out of there, the exit road is sloped with poor visibility and people flying by. I definitely felt like I was taking my life in my hands pulling out of there. I would not go back.

This place is just a parking lot that never seemed to entice me but we were desperate for a place so stayed here. It's not near as bad as I thought. The spaces are very wide. There's two parts, connected by a smaller neck of parking lot, we stayed in the most West part which has fewer spots but is more round so much easier for us to back our 36' ft fifth wheel into. There are many spots with picnic tables and many paths that take you to the city park below. The park is beautiful with a kids playground, pavilions, and small pond, wide open spaces, paved paths for running or walking or biking that extend for miles! And then the views of the surrounding hills and mountains are gorgeous. We ended up staying one more night because we enjoyed it so. There are two entrances, the east most entrance is much easier to get into. Everyone staying there was so quiet and there's not much road noise. You've got power and water for each spot and one dump station that was too hard for us to use at the very end of the west lot but there is a gas station a half mile away on hwy 6 that has an easy access dump station for $5. Spanish fork is gorgeous.

Price is now $25. Stayed one night after boondocking for 3weeks. Was a great spot for running errands in the provo/salt lake area. There is 30amp and 15 on the post that was perfectly working at 120volts. Water pressure was 30psi. The paved RV parking is significantly sloping towards the back. We got level but had to used about 6inches of blocks. With Covid 19 going on, there were half the spots available but was actually nice because usually you park side by side but at this time they skiped a space with a picnic table. The dump sit is at the end of the park. There are walking paths down to the park that is beautiful. The rd in front of the park doesnt have a ton of traffic but the traffic that does go by seems to have loud trucks. Would def stay here again!

This is our second stay at Canyon View RV Park. Spanish Fork is a good place to replenish supplies and fill the gas tanks: Walmart, Costco and lots of other shopping. Forgot how noisy the road alongside the area is, so it won't be high on our list for a return trip. Our travels are mostly wandering around with no fixed route. Sometimes convenience is just what we need. Nice clear satellite reception.

As mentioned by others the sites are very unlevel front to back. I couldn't even level my rv completely due to the variation. Still, for 25 bucks and to have power for AC in July, it works for me.
It seems the front section gets shade much earlier than the back but those sites are slightly tighter.
I tried to find a place nearby to let my lab swim but didn't find anywhere. I did not put much effort into it though. There was a storm canal by the park that he jumped in and it stunk. The park is pretty nice though.
It took me a while to figure out where to pay. In between the 2 sections, there is a mailbox that houses the payment slips for anyone looking.

While I thought this particular rv park was so so in my previous review, I have drastically changed my opinion. It is now 9 pm, another rv parked next to me and I realize there is literally less than 8 feet between spaces. I feel like the individuals next to me are inside my rv they are so close and loud. I am so disappointed.
I would never consider staying here again. If I weren't drinking beer right now I would leave.

We needed a place to plug in, where the kids could play, and get a reset before more boondocking.
There are t a lot of options in this area, but Canyon View worked for us.
There are two sections...and you definitely want to pull into the first entrance just past the main Canyon View Park entrance (it’s NOT the Park entrance...the next right...and it sneaks up on you!). The farther in you go, the more level the sites seem to be. We stayed in 14, and wasn’t quite able to level our 42’ Class A bit it was comfortable enough. Our coach is quite a bit longer than the painted lines, but it didn’t seem to be an issue.
There is a dump station at the very end, but you may not be able to reach it while towing.
The canyon winds are regular...every day from 2am until 10am. So don’t leave your awnings out!
You may not see the caretaker each day, but be sure to use the pay stand in between the two sections!
The park down the hill (an access trail in the middle of the RV sites) is very nice, and the paved River Trail into Spanish Fork is an easy pedal.
This campground was also convenient for getting into Spanish Fork.
Not the prettiest place we’ve stayed, and if someone pulled into the spot next to you it would be a bit tight, but overall it was a good reset given the options in the area!
