Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on June 29, 2023This was our first trip here. We enjoyed the campground, the hosts were very nice too. Spots are very close to each other, I would only stay if we could have a spot close to the water. The back spots do have hookups, but no view.
No campfires are allowed here. The kids enjoyed the water a lot. There are showers and restrooms available as well.

We stayed here on a road trip since it was right on our route. Very pretty campground. Hosts were nice and helpful. Is surrounded by private fruit and nut groves making it quiet and relaxing. Our site backed up to the water, it was a wonderful view.
This campground has a nice beach for swimming and the kids loved fishing right off the campsite. Showers were clean and hosts sold ice.

We heard trains but they were rather soothing. We love the 360 degree view with the river on one side and
Winery/orchard on the other. We did not get any discounts but checked in after five. They have access to the river for kayaks etc.

We planned to stay 4 nights but had to leave early because our AC broke and it was 104 degrees in early August with no sign of cooling off. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very friendly when I made my reservation and when I called back to say we would be leaving early. She refunded us 50% of our remaining nights and told me if they filled the spot we would get back the other 50%. She also let us do a late checkout on our last day.
Sites are gravel, and nicely spaced. The ones along the river have nice views.
We could hear the train in the distance, but it didn't bother us. I saw a skunk during our stay, so be careful!

Love this park! Park is in Goldenvale WA. It was hard to find following google directions (which sent us to Maryhill Winery). Don't follow Google...instead just stay on 84 until you get to the bridge at Biggs (truck stop), about 20 miles east of The Dalles. Park is in the middle of a working peach grove. Nice grass yard, gravel pad. Lots of shade trees but good satillite. Bathhouse and washrooms closed so can’t comment on those. Very friendly staff. Rec’d two peaches on check in. Next door to park is a state park with gravel beach to the Columbia river. Swam in the Columbia and it is not that cold, enjoyed just floating.
Most of the gov’t facilities museums were closed (covid). Great restaurant: Mamma Jane’s Pancakes in The Dalles

We loved this park and would come back without hesitation. As others have said, the location is great, we backed up to the river and of course you're surrounded by the orchards. There is a large grassy area in the middle of the park and lots of trees. The facilities are excellent, the whole place is very clean and level. And the host was really nice and helpful and accommodating to a last minute change in our plans.
Yes you hear the trains but there were only a few and didn't prevent us from sleeping through the night. This is the nicest park that is this convenient to an interstate we have ever stayed at.

We stayed here in August 2020 for one night as a stop-over on our way home to Idaho. Park host was great and we got a bag of peaches on our way in. We also bought a couple boxes of fresh peaches from the farm stand just outside the park. Yummy!
We didn’t get a chance to play in the water, but there were many people there that had water toys, so it seems that is enjoyable and why most people are there. It was full the night we stayed, but it was quiet.
It was good to have full hookups after a week of boondocking!

This park was great for our family. We had spot 10 which was in the center backing up to a grass field. Tim his was great as we could sit in our chairs and just watch our kids play.
Cell phone covers on Verizon worked but wasn’t great. WiFi really didn’t help much. If we had a cell booster it would have been perfect.
The sites are a bit close together, and you can hear the trains. But overall it was a great experience.

It started with a great conversation with Brenda the camp host; she was very pleasant and accommodating on the phone. We have a 32’ 5th wheel and could back in easily to our spot. Our trailer has a large window in the rear so we had a great view of the Columbia river. The roads and pads are gravel but well maintained and level. The restrooms were very clean. Just a very lovely setting, sorry we can only stay 1 night

Great Host, beautiful setting on the river, winds for windsurfers but would not take kayak out to Walleye fish. Nice orchards surrounding me and fruit stands. Do not take the Stonehenge road as really steep. Go down the highway to the bottom to the State Park road as they are side by side.
