Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 02, 2021I had a wonderful time at this well kept and clean secluded campground. It has 2 vault toilets. But the water pump was out of service. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with heavy grate. there are 2 trails starting at campsites 1 and 3 that go down to the sparrow rapids each is easy to navigate and well worth the short hike. all 6 campsites are secluded and out of site of each other. It was very peaceful and quiet several days I had the whole campground to myself. It is just 3 miles from 2 bars and a restaurant which all sell ice. and only 2 miles from a roadside park with a water pump. Enjoy but being close to the river don't forget the mosquito spray it's a must. Also it's close to 2 very nice picturesque waterfalls within 20 miles.

This was a beautiful small campground with only 6 campsites arranged around a loop and are spaced well. Access to the campground is off of a gravel road which is somewhat narrow. I arrived 9/7/20, Labor Day and when I arrived there was only one other camper so I had my pick of sites which were all relatively level. I stayed in campsite 3 which had a fire ring and picnic table as well as a few paths to the creek which you could hear from the site. Has his and hers pit toilets and didn't see any water. Plan to stay here again!

The cell reception was pretty decent, we were able to stream movies. The campsite had a fire pit but was filled to the brim with trash left behind. Pretty level spot and seemed alright to tent camp in. The road in has some rough patches but the gravel kept it in good shape for anyone to be able to drive it. Lots of edible plants around to forage for. Would’ve stayed longer but there were locals who seemed to be living there that took up three different spots. We left one day to get water and the second we left another set of locals set up shop in the campsite.

Title says it all. Campground is nice and quiet tucked back in the woods. Road to the site is a well maintained gravel road that is passable for any vehicle. The biggest drawback was the number of bugs. Come prepared

The long single track road from the main road was the only drawback as we were towing - thankfully we did not come across opposing traffic... Once in the campground, I walked ahead and picked out site #3 - there were actually a few sites that we could have fit in without having to disconnect, would be level and were nice! These are actual designated sites - not just dispersed camping. Site 3 looks out towards the forest and the small river below (can't see the water unless you walk down to it) and was very private and huge! Didn't use the toilet, but walked the loop and road a bit with the dog. Other than some mosquitos (we were here at the beginning of August, 2022) I thought it was great!

Nice sized sites. Primitive toilets. No water or electricity. Great simple camping. FREE.
