After she asked about extra guest fees for use of campground playground, the owner became very agitated, ultimately following closely behind her and shouting insults as she retreated out of the office. We have never experience this degree of inappropriate behavior by any business owner.
I understand that we all have bad days. So I later asked for a simple apology. "That's never going to happen" was the reply.
We recommend that unaccompanied women avoid campground office whenever the owner is present.
We don't often do KOAs because we prefer a bit more rural/natural settings, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. We stayed here planning to get some laundry and work done before heading north to Wyoming, but ended up staying longer after getting a nail in our tire on our truck and hail damage to the camper.
It's not cheap, and has a lot of amenities that don't interest us much like mini golf, paddle boats, bumper boats, a pool, bouncy play area, and huge playground. As you can imagine it is very popular for families with kids for these reasons. For us however, it's nice to have full hookups, trash service, showers that you don't have to pay for in Colorado, and clean, nice laundry facilities sometimes.
Very well maintained KOA with a huge staff and someone always working on something. Also a great location to downtown (Old Town) Fort Collins which is an awesome place to grab food or drinks and walk around on a pretty night.
This place allowed us to regroup in a bit of a stressful time without having to worry about any of our typical camping concerns like electricity, water, or filling up our grey tank.
We got cell signal (Verizon was better than AT&T) and were able to work although sometimes it got a bit slow. Per usual, wifi here is useless.

Stayed here to attend Cheyenne Frontier Days, so price reflects that time period. Worked out very well for our visit as Cheyenne was about 1 hour away. The park is well-kept and very organized. Workers were kind and helpful. There was a walking path, pool and splash pad, fishing lake, etc. The Poudre River Bike Trail was about 1 mile away, it was a lovely ride. Also the drive up Hwy 14 through Poudre Canyon was lovely. Good fly fishing, too.

This was our first major campground as full time RVers and we were moving our son into CSU. Not only was this camp super close and convenient to him and downtown FOCO, but it was a lovely way to start our new life. We paid extra to have the paver patio so the space was very large and rarely had neighbors to one side. Our neighbors to the other side, Angie and John, were workkampers on the site and very friendly. They were sweet enough to keep an eye on our dog. The camp is geared to families with lots of fun amenities like a pool, playground, fishing, etc. which we didn't use. This drives the cost up quite a bit! However, it is a super clean campground with a great laundry and good wifi. We had up our cell booster and got great reception for AT&T on cell and internet, though I did use the camp wifi a few times and thought it worked well. There is a lovely walk around the lake, perfect for daily exercise and the Poudre Trail is not far if you wanted to bike. Very impressed that they had trash pickup outside your rig daily and folks cleaning or trimming plants all the day to keep it very neat. The sites are nicely situated with easy wide roads and turns so super easy to get in and out even with a big rig and trailer. Only negative, which was big for us with our son nearby, was the $10 per day visitor fee. They charged this for folks stopping by or if you had more than 2 in your rig. While I understand the reasoning with the amenities, if you are an adult, it seems unfair to charge this when we would not use them or if someone were only visiting for a few hours.

We stayed here in March and so it was definitely pretty dormant. However, I can see how awesome it would be in the summer. The sites are well maintained (some even have hot tubs!). There are lots of trees around the perimeter, a nice walking trail around the lake. Tons of stuff for kids... pool, arcade, shuffleboard, pickleball, big playground. We are not big “KOAers” but would return to this one.

First of all, this place is huge and guard-gated. The staff is so good they're EVERYWHERE, and keep everything clean and orderly. I've never seen a park with so much to do for kids. We don't have kids, but from bumper boats to a train that cruises around their little lake, there's so much for them to do and it keeps the kiddos busy which means a quiet campground. We walked the path around the lake (1 mile) and there are little exercise stations. Lots of mosquitoes in the area, so be ready for that, but the grounds were wonderful. Our site was HUGE and on the end of a row. They pickup your trash from the curb in the morning which was nice of them. The location is in the far NW corner of town and it took some time to travel to other areas. We were in Fort Collins to visit the breweries and we used Uber and they picked up/dropped off with no issues.

While way off the main highways, Lakeside is along a lake with lots for families to do. Our only problem was that it took 30 min to get there from I-25, coming and going to Yellowstone. Has a small dog park. I wish campgrounds would fence in about 30 x 100 ft area for larger dogs. They can’t be on leash all the time and be happy.

$5.25 for three pancakes, sausage, and coffee. Quite a deal. Fri-Sun only. Tremendously well organized, great people, beautiful site. Family oriented and looks like fun if you travel with kids. Would like to spend a couple of days and tootle around the area.

This is one of the better KOA's. From the time you arrive, the staff is there to greet you at the entrance gate with a welcome and instructions. Then, the staff in the office is very nice, and they spent a good amount of time telling us about the facility and about things to do in the area. After that, we were escorted to our site and assisted into our spot. There were a lot of staff members working at the park, and they were all very helpful and friendly. The park itself is well maintained. It is very clean. The bathrooms and showers were so clean that it seemed like they were cleaned hourly. There are nice shade trees by a lot of the spaces, especially around the perimeter. The laundry was very clean, reasonably priced, and most of the machines worked. There is a lot to do for the kids. The Verizon cell coverage was strong enough to stream video most of the time except when the park was at capacity.

Very nice, but sites are very close together, so be aware. Our trailer back was literally 4 feet from our back neighbor. We were here on SEPT 20, and many summer amenities were already put away. Staff are very helpful, and the guard at entrance is darling. Ad says WiFi, but forget it. We switched it off and just used our phones. For the price per night, i think better WiFi should be provided.
I had originally made reservation for site at far back. Did not get it. Got placed near entrance.
The lake is a very fun amenity. One mile path around the perimeter. Be sure to look at wildlife artists paintings along the path of animals. They are very special.
