Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on September 17, 2022If you are looking for a park in CDA then you know how hard this can be...especially in the summer. There are only a handful of RV parks and they book way ahead and can get super pricey. We were uncertain about this place, but I will say it turned out to be better than I had expected. The pro's: it is only 2-3 miles from downtown, there are huge tall trees that shade the park in the summer heat, onsite laundry and you have a decent chance of reserving this place ahead of time. The cons: there are many long-term tenants that take away from the camping feel, the sites are VERY close together, the big trees are hard to navigate around (come in with a big dose of patience), you are in the middle of town (aka: not the prettiest part of CDA), this is not a scenic place and it is directly on a busy street, and you have to pay for your stay in full at the time of booking. All in all, it worked out fine and we had some lovely traveling neighbors that we met. We pull a pretty big unit and we were able to navigate the trees ok. We did see many other units struggle to get into their spots, so definitely avoiding arriving in the dark. You can ride bikes down to the lake, as long as you don't mind riding with street traffic.

Tamarack RV Park is a great campground. We had full hookups. Communication with Paula was great. She has our paperwork ready when we arrive after hours. We didn't use the bathrooms. It's conveniently located off the I90. Near CostCo. The campground is off N. Government Way, but we didn't hear any road nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff is accommodating. Place neat and well maintained but have tight sites. Allows dogs but there’s no dog walk area. Internet said $55 p/nite but ended up costing $95. p/nite. The price was the reason we stopped here. A little internet tomfoolery going on there. Overall ok but not worth $95 p/nite.

Got there about 5 in the afternoon and dogs were barking in an empty trailer next to us until after 10pm. I called the office and no one was on site. An emergency maintenance man said there was nothing they could do. We left after one night and had paid for 3 nights. They refused to refund the other 2 nights.

Nice campsites make sure to ask for a paved campsite otherwise you will be in dirt. Very clean. I was given a dirt space I went the next day to ask for a paved space and they said they could for my last three nights and they did, they moved me to a paved space. They accommodated me, which was very nice. However, I made the mistake of booking my last night which I was not staying, I tried calling the office and they were closed so I left a voicemail like I was instructed to do so. I gave them more than a 24 hour notice that I would not be staying the last night, I called when I arrived home and asked if I was going to get a refund or credit for the last night and they simply said "No" So beware and make sure you have your dates correct.

Staff was very helpful and nice and park was treed and shady. But there was overgrown grass & weeds everywhere, dead bushes, and poor landscaping maintenance. About half the park appear to be permanent residents and lower-income by the condition of their trailers and the mess of broken stuff sitting outside, but they were quiet and friendly. The location is on a busy street and the park backs up to a mini-mall and undeveloped parking lot. But it was decent, reasonably priced, and located close to the lake and town. Wish they would invest more in upkeep and maintenance.

I would never camp here again there are better places nearby like the Kootenai County Fairgrounds or other city parks that are just better handled. The street noise is excessive, and then tight spaces are super uncomfortable. As well there is just one of the locals doing the yard maintenance so there is yard maintenance done DAILY, EVERY DAY.
There are so many nice parks around Coeur D'Alene avoid this one.

We arrived after dark and in the rain. We felt fortunate to find any spot as many other local campgrounds were closed for the season or full to capacity. We easily reserved our spot on line and easily found it in the park. Our gravel spot was level and tv reception was good. It was quiet and peaceful. Close to the interstate and we were back on our way we’ll rested. We would stay here again.

This place is a good one night stop ad you’re passing by. We arrived on Saturday and office was closed. Info pinned on cork board. Very nice no contact during covid. Our space was loud with a lot of traffic noise but full service and fine enough to sleep for the night. Wifi worked well and didn’t use any of the other amenities. Would return for another one nighter.

Bathrooms were good. Clean and roomy. The sites are narrow, but we were only there for a night as we traveled from WA through to Montana. It was next door to Costco and there is a Starbucks nearby. We wanted access to restaurants as we were enroute. So worked well for us.
