There are not many frills here, it's all about location. Less than 1/2 mile away is the famous flea market and there are many tourist places to see here.
This area is the mecca of the RV manufacturing industry and this campground hosts many, many RV rallys, of which is the reason why we are here. The sites are small so you don't get much 'yardage' around you; but when you're attending a rally, you want that closeness for visiting others.
It has excellent facilities for the rally goer and we did enjoy the stay here. There is public bathrooms/showers and laundry facilities. They also allow you to wash your rig at your site for a fee which most campgrounds don't allow. Wifi is decent, no cable, good radio reception from the surrounding area.

This was our first trip out with our new truck and RV. The location was selected by another couple we became friends with at an RV rally last year before we bought our RV.
The campground is easy to access and located in the heart of Shipshewana, IN. There are a number of things to do nearby, including a large flea market within walking distance every Tuesday & Wednesday.
We found several good places to eat and local Amish stores for shopping, as well.
The park itself was well kept. The Workkamper (Bill) is a great guy. Very helpful and stops by to chat on a regular basis......if you are sitting out. The campground will supply a portable fire pit, if you'd like to have a fire.
They can accommodate anything from tents (only a few sites) to pull throughs with full service (the majority of the sites).
There are large fields with horses on both the north and south side of the park with woods on the east side.
BTW, if you stay 6 mights you get the 7th free, essentially bringing the nightly rate down to approximately $40/night.

We stayed in early September 2018. We did not have a reservation but they had a spot for us and we were surprised how full it was considering we were there mid-week. Mostly pull-thrus with some back-ins and tent space in the back.
Check in was easy and it's in a convenient location on S. State Rd 5- about a mile to town that has lots of shopping and restaurants. Quiet, clean and level sites with grass between them and picnic table. Sites were spacious and can accommodate the big rigs. Staff cruising around on golf carts constantly. We had full hookups. Everything worked fine. Laundry and bathhouses were clean. They offer a coin-op RV wash bay.
Their location is not walking distance to town, or really even to the flea market. Both would be a good walk on the highway shoulder, keeping in mind the Amish buggies use the highway shoulder. If you are there for the flea market, you may want to stay at the campground adjacent to the flea market. That truly is walking distance. We rode to the flea market the morning we left. It's huge and they offer lots of local crafts, as well as antiques and food items. Lots of Amish made stuff.
One odd thing that I had never experienced. Check out time is noon, and we were going to push off about that time. While we were outside preparing to leave, I received a voicemail on my cell phone at 11:30 from the office, telling me that it's 11:30 and check out is noon. Clearly, we were preparing to leave. Just odd.

This was our very first trip in our RV/Toy Hauler and I can say it went quite well. I called in the reservation instead of doing it on line because I had some questions. I wanted to know if they offered any discounts such as Good Sam, AAA or AARP but no go. I was considering to bring a motorcycle and noticed that there was a fee if I brought an extra vehicle so I asked about that. On line it said $3/day per vehicle for visitors during the day and $7/day if the vehicle would be overnight. I was told it would only be $3 for my whole stay (2days). Yeah, I get it but to me this seemed a stretch. I got the impression they felt uncomfortable telling me of the extra charge but as it turned out I didn't bring the bike because we had too much to do in a short period of time anyway.
As for the campground I can honestly say it was quite nice. Site was crushed stone with grass and a few tree around us. Bathhouse was clean and well kept and the staff in the office was very friendly and helpful. It was late in the season but they didn't have many open sites and even so it was a very quiet location. Shipshewana was just a mile or so up the street and if you had the energy you could walk it, just watch out for the buggies. Campground wifi signal was very strong but didn't work great. You would probably be better off just using cellular. All in all it is a very nice campground and we are looking to go back sometime soon.

Clean and well maintained. Husband said men's bathroom was extremely clean. We had a pull through with full hookups. Narrow, but adequate; easy in and out. Everything worked as it should. Nothing fancy, but a decent park, though a bit high for what is there. We would stay again when in the area. Lots to do in the surrounding area. We camped at Shipshewana Campground - South Park in a Travel Trailer

THe site mix up was not 100% the campgrounds fault- I purchased a new camper in May and camper here in June and then bought a different one in august and camped here in September. I explained to them I had a new camper which was 35ft 50amp and NOT the 28ft 30amp so please do not use my previous info. Somehow I was moved from site 1 to site 53 which would not work so I was relocated to site E7 a full hook up 30amp so I just used a reducer but either way it worked out.
This is a great campground with beautiful views and lovely sights and sounds. It is next to an active farm so the smells and flies may bother some, I grew up on a dairy farm so it doesn’t matter to me. My only issue was the fire pit, it was gone so they brought us a car rim and wouldn’t let us use our solo stove/ not the end of the world just an odd rule.0

I had made reservations for 2 nights, when I checked in I told Manager that camper had to be taken to dealer next day for repairs. They immediately charged card for 2 days.
I took camper to dealer for repairs next day, was called and told repairs would be more extensive and wouldn't be completed for possibly 2 weeks, as soon as I knew I called campground and was told there would be no refund for second night which was not used.
According to conformation email that there would be a $25 service fee for cancelation within 10 days which they keep almost double that amount. First and last time I will use this campground. To all be careful.

my main problem is attitude, we got there, i rushed in, i had to go to the bathroom real bad, he said not here, no concern at all, so i went back out opened my 5th wheel up and went, came back in with my wife, gave him my name, my wife was there with me, showed him her broken wrist she just did the day before and tried to explain to him we may not stay here the length we had reserved cause we got to get to Florida to get to our doctor, and he didn't even care or listen, no concern at all. just gave us our paperwork for our site and that was it,. he had our money and it was like get out, i will never, ever be in a place like this ever again, i do understand my wife or my problems are not his problems but to show no concern at all like he did, i will never show my face there again.good bye

First stay here, overall nice campground, gravel space with grass on both sides, fire pit and table. The spaces are a bit on the narrow side. Check in was pretty easy like others have said the guy behind the counter a bit grumpy like he really didn't want to be there. Campground WI Fi is not free. There are lots of places to walk your pups and the grounds are very well kept. Bathrooms and showers clean but dated. We would stay here again when in the area
