Horseshoe Bend RV Campground

Great people and very friendly. Weth of knowledge with full time RV’rs. Great area in the middle of beautiful country!!!

Got a riverfront site that's shady and has a great view. Found this place on a search, and it's really worth it. On my list now, will return again.

Riverfront sites on the Ohio River. Watch the barges go by from your campsite. Two loops. River front and one row off the river. Sites are gravel, level, full hookup (110, 30 & 50 amp electric; water, sewer), back-in. Appears to be a couple pull-thru sites. Big rig friendly. Easy back-in. Dog friendly.
There is no landscaping, grass, etc between sites, however each site is good sized (see photo). The sites are clearly defined by the utility connections and has a picnic table and fire ring.
Firewood is available from the host. No cable or WIFI. We were unable to pickup any over the air tv channels. Our Sprint cell service was 1 bar 1X. Text messages only.
There is a large open grassy area between loops and a small playground.
Friendly & helpful hosts. Friendly atmosphere and people.

Although no landscaping etc, separate the sites, the size of the site and nature of the place make up for that. I would put Horseshoe Bend on a list of places to visit and to come back to.

Penny was very helpful on this unplanned stay. We spent 2 nites on a split site of b/c and a 3d nite on K site. Full hook, water, sewer and 50amp. laundry facility on site. beautiful views of the Ohio River, barges move up and down in the evening. If off the grid with modern conveniences is what you crave, Horseshoe Bend doesn’t disappoint. Close to truck stop for diesel needs, Dollar General for items you forgot, and groceries in nearby Corydon, IN, as well as a variety of historic venues to visit. Near downtown Louisville KY.
I had zero cell service with either ATT or Verizon, which is either a benefit or curse.
The directions were great and when Penny says the road is narrow, believe her!

Great campground with full hookups right on the river. Several barges passed during the day and night. Penny was great. She was very friendly and helpful. Sites were gravel and pretty level. Big trees along the river for afternoon shade. Will certainly want to go back in the future.
