Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on January 18, 2022Encore RV park. Stayed in fall and started to be getting cold. Our site was right on waterway and we were parked on very level grassy area. This is mostly permanent residents but mainly tiny homes and trailers all well maintained in a beach theme. Large water slide into pool will be favorite spot in summer I’m sure. Lots to see and do nearby. People very friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed easy access to Emerald Isle Pier and multiple public beaches on the Atlantic Ocean during our stay. Cape Lookout National Seashore and the Croatan National Forest are also worthy nearby excursions from Goose Creek RV Resort. This campground is part of the Trails Collection available to members of Thousand Trails and to the general public. Of the three Thousand Trails Trails Collection campgrounds in the Emerald Isle Beach area, Goose Creek RV Resort is the best. Check out our campground video tour uploaded here on Campendium. We stayed here, as we are Thousand Trails and this Encore park is part of our membership. Pros..close to the water and beaches, close to family in the area, nice pool and water slide, easy in and out of park. Cons…This is an Encore park that gives TT members poor sites. Our site was so close to the rv beside us that when he came out to dump tanks, he was right behind our lawn chairs. Disgusting. We were there in July and the electrical system couldn’t handle the number of campers. Ours kept blowing the breaker. The electrician came and changed out the breaker, but said it wouldn’t help. He was an outside contractor. He said the park was not able to handle the electric needs of the campground. It’s old and insufficient. It was well into the high 90’s and no electricity. They weren’t going to let us run our generator. They came and checked out ours and gave us “permission” to run ours. Otherwise, we had NO electricity. Food goes bad and my husbands 83 yr old parents suffer in the heat, as they were with us to meet their great great grand baby. There was barely room to sit our chairs around, between the Jeep and the picnic table. There was no room to park in front of your RVs. Also, only one vehicle per spot. As if you could park more. So, when the kids came to visit, it was a mess finding parking. It may be free for us but not worth the price. I gave it 3 stars, but really wanted to do 2. It does have some nice things and the access to the bay is nice. Sometime other than summer could be better.
