Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 20, 2020We planned to stay a week to visit relatives in the area and between a torn awning and COVID 19, we left 2 and 1/2 months later. Showerhouses were clean and private. Sites were wide, level, and well spaced. Laundry on site was reasonably priced. They were building a fenced dog park when we were leaving. Fishing ponds. Pleasant campground owner. Nightly rate reflects a combination of weekly rates and then a switch to monthly rates.

Stayed Friday to Wednesday and it was busy but very quiet. Lots of room between spots for the most part. Very friendly and helpful staff. Onsite propane available. Had a nice laundry room but due to the virus hype only allowed reservations for two and a half hour blocks which is too bad because they must have 6 or 7 machines of each in there. Until this is over if you need to do laundry go sign up for a slot right away as they were very full especially over the weekend.
No WiFi or cable at the site but for $3.00 you could buy a 24 hour WiFi pass for one device only but it pretty much worked only near their office and they did have a big table set up outside in a tent with big netting on it I didn’t use the wifi but that’s what I was told. No cable but I didn’t go there to have tv or WiFi. They do rent movies for $1.00 for your stay. For limited cell service you can walk or drive to the little pizza/ice cream place by the lake. I only had two bars but three in the middle of the lake in a boat. About three miles to the north is the actual resort that has boat rentals fishing gear rentals and a pretty decent store.
Do not trust google or Apple Maps to get you to this RV campground. It took me to the resort and luckily I stopped very soon once I entered (37’ fifth wheel) in to ask where the registration was and was told it was three miles south and that they constantly get people in that used google. If you get too far in it could be interesting getting back out if you have a big rig. My suggestion is put in the “South shore pizza” for directions. The campground entrance is a couple hundred feet south of it on the east side of the road.
Overall excellent place especially if you want to get away from devices and tv....

Stayed in a new addition up on hill. They have added a 3rd pond. Wide concrete slabs some are not concrete. Full hookups. Fairly quiet. Saw 2 wild bobwhite sparring over calling territory. Various other birds, woodpeckers, etc. Hwy 49 noises.
