Happy Time RV Park is located in Dunnigan, CA on I-5 north of Sacramento where the 505 intersects I-5. They are often full with long termers but seems there is always a site. All the basics, cable, electricity, sewer, water, laundry, etc. Call ahead recommended!!

Was planning on staying 1 to 3 nights but the electric did not work for me because of my trailer. Nothing to do with the park. Sheila went above and beyond to fix the situation. Unable to do so. She even called me the next day to make sure everything was OK. That kind of customer care exceeds any amenities that the park might not have. It is located very convenient for on/off freeway with a Pilot station near. Price is reasonable. I would recommend this park. Thank you Sheila

Stayed for the first time in November just after the Chico fires when we couldn’t get into our familiar campgrounds. Charming hosts and a delightful campground, even if it is a little tired. On our way back North and made a point of staying here again.

We hadn't planned to stop here but ended up here after a wheel bearing failure and having to wait for Lippert to manufacture a replacement axle.
The office manager, Sheila and the employee Mark were both very kind and gracious. They continued to allow us to extend our stay until the part arrived and allowed our mobile tech to complete the repair on site. When other travelers had our particular spot reserved for one night in the middle of our stay they rearranged sites so that we didn't have to move sites.
This is a very easy on / easy off I-5 park to access, not much in the immediate area to do but a good stop over. All sites for short term visitors are pull thru sites.
The park has a lot of long term residents, overall is neat and well kept. The layout is a little unusual, your neighbor on the off door side is really close, but you have a huge side yard with grass, paved picnic patio and lots of room to spread out.
The yard crew and maintenance guys were always working on something to keep the park maintained. A couple of times the guys were blasting their music really loud so we had to close all windows to keep the noise out, I work from home so having music right outside my window while they were trimming trees was a bit annoying, but at least they were trimming the trees to ensure the branches weren't problematic for taller rigs.
The only downside was the noise level, located between I-5 and the railroad tracks, but that wasn't really too bad most of the time. The worst part of the noise was due to construction that is going on next door with what appears to be additional restaurants and fuel stations going on, once the construction is done I'm sure it will be a bit quieter.
Overall not where we planned to stay, but were grateful for a park that could accomodate us and had a reasonable rate, especially for California.

After reading the reviews of other rv parks in the area I was hesitant to stay anywhere. Don't be..safe, quite, and close freeway access.
Came in after closing. Manager had left a sticker on window saying what sites were available for the night. Drop box for fee. Clean showers, laundry. Many full timers, but clean park, no tweekers.

This was a very pleasant place to stay. Photos online didn’t do justice to this park. Nice fairly level gravel pad with lawn and picnic table. Friendly staff, community. Quiet at night. Walking distance to Starbucks and quickie market around the corner. In the other direction, just on other side of mobile home park, one can walk to yummy family-run Mexican food restaurant. I can’t remember our exact cell coverage but I’m pretty sure we had At&t.

I do not understand how this place got 4Stars. Seriously. I don't wanna be mean or such! 90% are long-timer (which is not the/a problem!!). Only the front spaces(at entrance) are spots for overnighter. Train Tracks right across street - next door an ARCO Gas Station, were you probably can stay for free.... When I arrived the office was closed even it stated "Open at 2pm" - Electricity did not work on neither station I was close to. The hook ups look old/dirty( wires sticking out, duct tapped) - faucet handle broken off. I waited until 3pm, by then I left 2 msg's to call me. Nope....nothing. I inspected the showers, what to say, actually they are so bad it's funny. Out of 3 showers only 1 had a proper faucet fixture. The other 2 looked like half way ripped out.The shower curtain are a thin sheet of plastic, probably a $1 at the Dollar store. Don 't get me wrong, I am a rustic camper, but for $40 a NT I expect the basics to work. In summer is must be sweltering hot, and the dust from the street & field...oh my. Will surely not be back. I truly don't see how this got 4 stars..... Oh, Verizon only 2 bars - WIFI = SlowMo... I moved on, I rather would stay at the nearby (nice) rest stop, which I didn't I found a nice place just 30 mil. south.

Agree with previous reviews, this is an older well worn RV Park. Nice that the transient spots are right up front but as noted, utilities are kinda sketchy looking although functional. Rain makes mud throughout the sites and roads. Noise from the highway, occasional train and the AM/PM and Pilot Truck Center just over the side fence may be an issue for some. I guess overall, it serves the purpose when you just need a place for an overnight, but I do think $47 is a bit steep for what it is.

We called ahead and reserved a spot, they only have 6 overnight spaces all up front near the entrance. They quoted $45, when we got there, there was a little confusion and had to put us at the back of the park. We were surrounded by vehicles that cannot move and lots of junk around them, It’s not a pretty site. The occupants are friendly, but it was not pleasant. We pulled the curtains and stayed inside, never saw the bathrooms.
They charged us $55
We are usually pretty realistic about life on the road, but almost drove out, they could keep the $55
I would not recommend this place
