It is located in a popular recreational area which is home to a number of trails, including the Spruce Railroad Trail, Pyramid Mountain trail, and the Barnes Creek trail to Marymere Falls. The Spruce Railroad Trail follows the grade of what was once the tracks of a logging railroad along the shores of the lake. Following this trail on the north side of the lake, one can find the entrance to an old railroad tunnel as well as "Devils Punch Bowl", a popular swimming and diving area. Camp David Jr. ran by Clallam County Parks services as an outdoor camp to any group wishing to rent its facility.
Reviews
Absolutely stunning. We were expecting a main place to go, we didn’t find one. We just did one of the pull off places of the main hwy. It was perfect. We could put our feet in the water, skip rocks, explore, and take gorgeous photos. I’m so glad we added this stop to our trip!
Lake Crescent is absolutely beautiful! The road surrounding the lake provides great photo opportunities. We stopped several times while enroute to Hurricane Ridge. This lake demands your attention and is definitely worth visiting!
