This park is the best KOA I have ever stayed at. Can’t say enough about the wonderful staff here. It’s on the East side of town close to the rodeo arena. Takes 15mins to get downtown. Great location quiet area and safe. They have a great pool, onsite laundry room, clean showers and restrooms. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Austin.

Stayed here in November 2018. The location is not impressive, in the middle of rural land a few miles from anything interesting in Austin. In other words, you won't be walking or biking from here to go anywhere other than maybe a convenience store. So given its remote location, they do a pretty good job at making it comfortable to stay in the park at least. The facilities are very nice, and the campground is pretty well maintained. They apologized for the road in the park being in poor shape, hopefully that gets fixed. The WiFi was not the best but we had pretty good cell service as backup. Campground was quiet and easy to get in and out of. I'd stay here again but I wish it were more convenient to the city.

KOA staff is always friendly, and no exception here. It appears that everything was upgraded recently. Clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry facility. The park itself was well maintained. They apologized for the roads. They tried to use a ‘green’ material and it failed. They’ll be replacing it soon. Our site was roomy enough. The park is easy to get in and out of and nice and quiet. Only about 15 minutes from Austin. We’ll defin stay here again when we visit Austin.

Stayed for 3 nights in February. Full Hookups, good water pressure, consistent electric. As others have said, the WiFi is not that good.
Cons: Spaces are fairly tight. Gravel sites, not quite level. I-35 highway noise (although it was too cold to have the windows open to hear it).
Pros: Easy access off interstate. Pull through sites in front of park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dog park and nearby dog wash area! Little golf area and a catch & release fishing on site. The cutest herd of goats in the back area with tons of brand new babies this week! Free breakfast cooked to order with coffee, milk and juice! They are building covered seasonal parking in the very back of the property....weekend campers don’t go that far back.. Close enough to Waco to explore!
We would stay here again.

We stayed for total of 2 1/2 weeks at the end of our stay some mean person stole my expensive road bicycle
Clipped off the chain and stole it!
So mad!
KOA expressed little concern but a sorry.
And I filled out an incident report.
Basically this 2 week stay cost over $2000 with what we spent on site and my loss.
I would never camp here again.
Another downside outside of safety/theft issue are the obviously horrible road conditions
It is crazy that roads have not been fixed. The staff apologize at check in but seems for the cost of the park it would be fixed and looking good.
The bathrooms are fantastic though!

We are full timer 5th wheel travelers and have stayed in lots of RV parks and this is our favorite.
It is quiet, surrounded by tress and longhorns cattle graze in the far back.
The office staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Randy the maintenance man can fix most anything and gets to any problems large or small quickly.
We love the showers Our on board shower has a low pressure shower head so it is grand to go to the spacious, clean, individual room really nice shower.
The space between the RV pads are large and have a cement patio.
We find we can get down town in about 25 minutes and many great restaurants are 15 minutes away.
The laundry area has a large table for folding clothes, easy to use rolling wire carts and plenty of washer and dryers that can be paid with our credit card.
Their is a large dog park and a dog washing area.
A good size swimming pool that is well taken care of.
We stay a week and will be returning for our yearly visit to Austin.

While the ideal choice for visiting Austin is Pecan Grove RV Park (due to it's location in downtown Austin) it was totally booked up for our visit. This KOA ended up being fine for our needs. It's a KOA and had all the expected amenities - big pull-through level sites, laundry, propane, small store. It is across the street from a nice metro lake park. It's about a 20-30 minute drive to downtown Austin. Easy access but note that the main highway in is a toll road. It is unattended, toll invoice is sent in the mail. If we would have realized this we would have taken a different route.
I will also say that KOA staff tend to be too overbearing for my taste, and this place was no exception. They patrol in their golf carts the entire day. At one point a staff member came up to me and asked if he could fix our fire because it wasn't in a traditional tee-pee shape that is ideal for burning..... nothing huge but I just prefer more privacy.

This was a perfect base to work from and enjoy nearby Austin. The cell service was very fast, we didn’t even set up our cell booster. The Deluxe Patio Site was awesome. The staff is constantly working.

First the list of pros and there are many:
Very clean
Friendly staff
Good spacing between sites
WiFi signal is not only strong but we streamed without a problem during our entire stay
Curbside propane tank pickup and refill
Curbside trash pickup
Firewood delivery
CONS:
Smaller campground so we heard road noise at night. Not on a busy street so not a big problem but worth mentioning
Only major con is the condition of the concrete pads at MOST of the sites. Most slabs are way overdue to be re-poured and, as a result, there are pothole sized divots to navigate. It was very difficult to get our rig level because of this. At 70+ a night that just seems silly.

We were here for 5 nights and had a great stay. The kids loved meeting other kids and playing at the playground and game room. Easy bike riding and walking around the campground. Best WiFi we’ve had at any campground so far. Will stay again soon I’m sure.
