go to KOA.com and read the reviews. Not so good. They have much improvement to do before I would consider staying there.
KOA has moved to Sam's Town. According to KOA's web site 'KOA most recently operated the campground adjacent to the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino, which is being developed for an alternate use.'
Wait... wait... There's a campground ON THE STRIP! YES! There's more though... You can even spend the night in one of their Airstream trailers available for rent! If camping is more your style, this is the place for you. Perfect for families since it's connected to Circus Circus.
The most annoying thing was that on the KOA website where I was making a reservation, it said “only one spot left”. Well this campground has hundreds of spaces and was probably only 25% full during our stay. They had spots of every price range available. Also, they watered during the night and our space was flooded in the morning. Our bikes were soaked and we had a huge mud puddle so couldn’t set up the black stone. Also the dog tracked in the mud. All our hookups were wet. Not a good scenario. The one good thing was the casino was fun. We don’t gamble but we ate in there and the atrium area is beautiful. Unfortunately they didn’t have the light/water show that night due to maintenance.

We have stayed at Sam's Town KOA twice, and both experiences were pleasant (minus the extreme heat) This is a well kept park, clean bathrooms and laundry facility, small but useable pool (I believe that you have access to the Sams Town pool as well, but not 100% sure) and a very friendly staff.
If you are visiting during the summer, remember, it is hot..... very very very hot in Vegas. During the last 10 days of our most recent stay the was over 110 degrees every day. Your AC will turn on in the morning and will run continuously for the entire day, so make sure everything is in working order, and that you have a heavy duty power cable that is properly plugged in. I saw the maintenance guy replacing a number of service boxes due to electrical fire. Also, keep in mind that there are foreign travelers in rental rvs in and out by the dozens everyday. A lot of them are starting their trips in Vegas and are not accustomed to hooking up their rvs. Keep an eye out for people that may need some help, and check your utility box every time someone comes or goes (each utility box is shared between 2 sites). We found it useful to tape over and label the circuit breaker for our site so that is was very apparent which breaker to flip. This stemmed from a neighbor flipping off our breaker while hooking up and not turning it back on. Luckily we were there to turn it back on, or our dogs could have been toast.. literally. As for pets, during the summer heat, do not walk the dogs across this park, the asphalt, even the gravel parking pads will burn their feet. Ask for a spot that backs up to grass, or you will have to carry your pup over to it. Spot 219 offered a large area of grass, but no shade. Spot 240 offered a smaller grass area, and has SHADE from about 10:30am to 5pm that was a huge improvement from 219. It allowed us to keep the inside of the rig about 10 - 15 degrees cooler and also helped keep the freezer/fridge cooler as well.
Its super easy to get around Vegas from this spot. You are a block from Flamingo which takes you by I-95 then into the heart of the strip. Take 95 south for 10 mins and you are in Henderson and almost half way to the Hoover Dam, 95 north for 5 mins and you are in old Vegas, 95 north to Summerlin Parkway and in 20 mins you are Summerlin and only a few more minutes from Red Rock Park. RV trouble, they have a few RV mechanics that will come on site, or drive a mile north on Boulder Hwy and see the guys at Findlay RV (they fixed us up quick).

Let me warn you that this review is going to be heavily influenced by the fact that we had our mountain bikes stolen the first night of our stay here. They were chained to the towbar but due to the lack of security, no gates, no perimeter fence, direct access to the casino parking lot, in retrospect they were an easy mark for a thief. And based on the reaction of the very friendly front desk staff, this is far from an unusual occurrence. After more than a year and a half of full timing, boondocking in all kinds of remote locations, we get our bikes lifted at a KOA.
Other than that, the park is pretty much as the review from The Traveling Haywoods described, pretty tight spots but well maintained. Based on our experience, I wouldn't leave anything outside your rig that is not securely attached. There is some noise from the highway and being near the airport means a pretty steady stream of noise from air traffic.
We had 3 bars of Verizon LTE which worked great during the day but speeds slowed significantly in the evening.
We have stayed in nicer locations while visiting Las Vegas for work. You can bet that we will be spending a little more $ next time for a RV Campground that provides peace of mind as well as a parking spot. We won't be coming back here.

Make sure you lock up your bikes. The front tire was stolen off one of our bikes.
There are two parts of this part. The south and the north. Stay in the south part. We have a small trailer, 17 feet, and that made our spot in the south side nicer because we could be against the outer wall. It was quiet, even when we had to move to the north park because they were busy. The casino that's connected has loads of stuff. Good food, the steak house is excellent. There's a bowling alley and a movie theater and you can walk. The pools are clean. The showers are clean and well kept. The spots on the edges are large for an RV Park, but if you have a big rig and have to be in the middle they probably aren't as great for you. The South Park has lots of trees. The dog runs are kept up really nicely. We really enjoyed it here. Also our rate is low because we have a small rig.

I read about the bikes being stolen and made a note to secure our ladder while we were here. I never felt unsafe although it isn't a great area. Lots of transients on nearby streets, but the park is well lit (not always something we want) and well maintained.
The staff are very helpful and friendly and facilities seem to be in good order although we don't use them. The casino next door has several eateries with some reasonable prices (not all) and of course gambling if you enjoy it. Even the smoke-smell isn't too awful inside.
FHUs with 50 amp and good water pressure. Most sites have zero outdoor living space, no table and no grass. Interior roads are wide asphalt and sites are gravel/dirt. No speed bumps - yaaaaaay! Site is level and the few trees don't block our satellite. Cable available as well. Park WiFi worked well for us.
Far enough from downtown and the strip to avoid the chaos with decent access to the interstate. Some sirens and plane noise, but nothing that bothered us.
We'd stay here again. The rate reflects a weekly stay and KOA membership plus tax.

Weve stayed here twice now and have had great experiences. The staff is very friendly and the pool, restrooms, and laundry are all kept up very nicely. We have an older trailer and a large dog which has limited our choice of parks in the area so we appreciate Sam's Town KOA for their hospitality.
You're in a city so spots are tight and there is some noise but I believe this is the most quiet park you'll find in the area. There's also a Wal-Mart across the highway, which is convenient for restocking while in town.
The casino next door is small but nice with restaurants, a bowling alley and a movie theater, it's a great place for the whole family. The casino also provides a free shuttle to the strip which we took advantage of. We did however miss the shuttle back to the campground and when we asked a cab driver to bring us the 10/15 minutes back to Sam's Town they said "$50, it's on the other side of town" uber was cheaper but be careful to not miss the bus!

It's quiet and clean, and feels safe. The sites aren't anything to write home about, but it's a decent place to stay in Vegas. We've stayed at both the Circus Circus RV park and the Sam's Town KOA a couple of time, and I gotta say, the Sam's Town KOA has become our go to RV park when passing through Vegas. I felt much better walking around, using the pool, and leaving my RV at the Sam's Town KOA than I did at Circus Circus. Safety wins out over location any day.
