We stayed at Big Creek RV Park in May of 2019. From the first contact with the office, we were impressed with the friendliness of the manager, and her sincere desire to make every visitor comfortable and happy with their campsite. We paid a little extra to be creekside and it was well worth it, though the lesser sites were all very nice too. The sites are level and well covered in gravel, they include full hookups, fire pit, and very nice picnic tables. The camp has WONDERFULLY fast wifi as well. In the center of the campground you'll find the very clean bathhouse, laundry facilities, and pool. There are lovely, well lined trails following along the creek for strolling, and easy access to the creek for creek stomping. You can even take your camp chair down and set it in the creek and let the current soothe away the stress of your travel day.
The campground is very small and the manager can be seen out and about several times per day keeping check on everyone. The customer service and hospitality at Big Creek RV Park cannot be beat.

Glad this RV park was in this area as there are no other campgrounds in the area. This place is very clean and well kept. We had a site right next to Big Creek and near the facilities. The manager is very nice and had great customer service. Wifi was ok for us, it was a little slow.

Great place to spend a few days. Had full hookups and for once the WiFi actually was usable. Even over the weekend WiFi was strong enough to use. Phone coverage is week but usable. Have it four stars because water pressure is low. We filled tanks and ran off pump. Owners were very friendly. Park is we’ll kept and very clean. Will use again when we come back to visit brother living in area.

This was our first RV Park experience and it was great. All the facilities were in great shape. The camp sites were level and clean but are a little close for me. There is a trail on the property that is short but nice. You are close to all of the parks around Taum Sauk and have easy access to them.

We obviously stayed in the off season so there were lots of open spots. Our spot backed to the creek and we could here it all night long which made for fantastic sleeping. The owner was so nice and helpful during our stay. Our site fit our 31 foot travel trailer with our truck parked at an angle in the front. We could have backwards more but we didn't have a power cord extension to reach the box. Power was consistent and the water pressure was good. Bring your regulator just in case. We hope to visit this park again in the future.

Had an amazing time at this park. Top 3 private parks we’ve stayed at in our travels all across the USA. If you like outdoor activities try floating the black river or hike up to Taum Sauk the highest point in Missouri. Trailhead is right up the road. There are wooded trails all along the park that follow big creek. A short hike on one of the parks trails will drop you off at many babbling brooks where you can set up lawn chair and the water lane relax. Just a few steps further there’s a nice swimming hole with cool crystal clear water. The twist and turns in the area are incredible for a motorcycle. Owners are great and take great pride in the park. Don’t forget to pick up your farm fresh eggs for breakfast when checking in. You’ll see the chickens, goats, sheep and steer in the mini farm. Give the goats some scratches for me. Easy parking for big rigs. Roads coming in are twisty but nothing you won’t be able to handle. Highly Recommend this gem!

I’m not good at saying a lot of things about a campground. But this one was different in a good way.
We belong to the Renegade family and they had a small gathering (43 coaches) at this cg for the 2024 eclipse. The family that owns the campground went above and beyond for us. They contacted their church to have a service, they got with shop owners in a small town and they opened for business on a day that they are not normally open. They also have a little coffee shop that was just in the early days and it was good coffee. Big Creek runs right behind it. It would be fun in the summer to wade and play in. They have farm animals and you can buy farm fresh eggs from them. If ever in the area again will definitely stay again.
