Lone Rock Beach is located on the border of Arizona and Utah - just a few minutes from Big Water, Utah. The beach can be used for kayaking, jogging, swimming, fishing or sun bathing.
Reviews
There are unmarked campsites here where you can camp along the water’s edge. It is sandy and deeper in some places; our little Hyundai Accent almost got stuck. There are bathrooms by the entrance (which is the end of the road), and be careful to wear footwear, I saw a scorpion! I also recommend coming during daylight hours, it’s very hard to navigate in the dark and the bugs will LOVE your flashlights and headlamps.
No water anymore FYI.
This beach is not closed, at the warning above says. We stopped there a week or two ago to take a dip in the lake. Many camp there with their RVs and other vehicles. Lake Powell is a great lake for all sorts of water recreation. Perfect water temperatures.
Fantastic place where You actually can sleep on the beach. Worth a visit.
