Beautiful scenery! Lots of photo opts but wear walking shoes gets a little scary in some places on the trails. Hard to believe this is so close to Las Vegas and it took me nearly 30 trips to finally go. Love it!
Stilettos not advised. Red Rock Canyon is a great way to get away from the lights of Las Vegas. Easily accessible if you have a car and can be done in as little as a couple hours if you just want something to do during the day. I only have experience with exploring the first stop which is a moderately challenging walk/climb rdown the rocks but worth it. Don't forget you have to get back up again. Bring water. After all, you are in the dessert.
Vegas best kept secret. Always go here to breathe a bit during the day. It's so close and a must see.
Really close to Vegas! So it's a must go. It seemed so small but once we went for a walk in between it was definitely huge! You can definitely get lost! Next time we will definitely do an overnight camping and maybe a little rock climbing. ;)
Awesome place for a quick day trip while you're in Vegas area. It's just right outside of the city!
Venture just 20 minutes west of Las Vegas, and you’ll find yourself in the heart of red rock country. The area’s Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area spans the Mojave Desert landscape in a whirl of sunset-hued rock formations, picturesque canyons and sky-high peaks.
Experience the canyon lands from your car via a 13-mile Scenic Drive, then drop by the Visitor’s Center to get hiking tips, see displays and take in a real Desert Tortoise habitat. From there, it’s up to you how you experience Red Rock Canyon firsthand; take on a climbing route, bike the drive or scale the slopes on any of the area’s twenty-six hiking trails.
Rugged yet inviting, Red Rock Canyon transports you miles away from the city over the course of a short drive down Charleston Boulevard.
We think a visit here makes for a perfect day trip from Las Vegas!
We did it in 109 degree heat so we rode. Lots of places to get pictures. Beautiful scenery
Beautiful scenery. It’s an amazing sight to behold when you first arrive. Definitely a must see. The visitor center is fairly small. The drive around the park is worth the trip. Multiple hiking paths lead to discovering unique formations and sites. Enjoy! I sure did.
We loved this place. The scenic drive was amazing we stopped at all the areas along the route and explored. There’s wildlife, trails and the most beautiful mountain scenes for miles. We saw a road runner! The visitor center is beautiful and has tons of different kinds of hummingbirds that put on quite a show. I’m so glad we got to check this off our bucket list. A perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of this world.
Came out here a during March when the weather was perfect, warm but not Vegas hot. The rocks and scenery are so beautiful and you can see most of it in several hours. We did the bike tour which is a great way to do it so you don't have to deal with the traffic or pulling over every time you want to take a picture. Definitely a must see.
