Confirmed by 7 users | Last reported on February 29, 2024I can't say much about this campground, because it was basically a place to stay for the night.
I was trying to get out of the cold wet rain and it was dark outside. I was ready to stop. I know they had free cable. They get four stars because they allowed me to check in without staff and pay the next day. Staff was friendly when it was time to pay.

This is the small campground with the big heart! What we loved the most about this campground was the sense of community. The residents and campers made us feel welcome. There are many activities including a coffee meetup, and everyone was so helpful.
We also enjoyed the free wifi in the clubhouse, the friendly staff, the clean bath houses, the proximity to Walmart, Kartchner Caverns State Park, Tombstone and Bisbee, and the walking trails behind the campground.
Be careful when loading the washing machines. Once the lid is closed it can't be reopened. I lost more money than I'd like to admit due to that.
Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would gladly camp here again.

I have a membership with Thousand Trails/Encore so my camping was free here. I Love this place. Of all the places I have been in the last 3 1/2 years this place has the friendly staff of all of them! I stayed here last fall/winter 2017 too. The place is kept very clean, pool and spa are great. Sites are very nice, some with shade, picnic tables, all with full hookups. Great cable TV! I don’t have a car so the ability to use BAT(Benson Area Transit) and Lyft in the area is a real bonus to me. Town of Benson has everything you could need.

We stayed here as part of our thousand Trails membership and paid no nightly fee. Nice little park with a ton of places to explore nearby (The Thing, Tombstone, Bisbee, etc). We ended up in a 30 amp transient site at the back of the park, partly due to a last minute change in reservation. Those we're a bit tight and the hookups were towards the front (took every bit of sewer hose we had to reach). The long term sites are bigger and have 50 amps.
Very quiet at night with great sunsets. Not a ton of amenities but good laundry, pool and hot tub. Also lot's of activities. The gas station our front (no affiliated) has the basics and a decent deli. There's plenty of shopping and some decent dining in Benson. Nothing really fancy about this park but it's clean and in a good location with very friendly staff. We liked it!

We stayed here 4 nights while traveling from CA to TX. This was our 1st stay as a Thousand Trails, Trails Collection member. Nice smaller resort with FHU, clubhouse, heated pool and hot tub. Friendly staff and seasonal residents.

To preface my review I was here during the spring. The wind was absolutely insane. Most days I had to bring my slide in because it was really that windy. 20-30 mph sustained and 50 mph gusts. I was on top the hill with no wind break and part of the issue. Also, they gave me a site where the sewer connection had to travel up hill which is never fun. They charge for 50 A service at this location. The pool is small but nice. They also had a hot tub. Was hard to level as all the spots are on a hill and grade so L-R and F-B was hard but I was able to do it (manually and not with the auto levelers). When I checked in the person seemed really new and was learning but was friendly (always nice). Great cell service and the town has a Walmart/Safeway/Starbucks and some very nice places to eat (Mi Casa was my Fav!). It's an Hour to Saguaro NP and a number of other attractions within an hours drive (don't forget Tombstone!) The trains are across the highway and can be heard periodically but isn't too often or too loud.

We used our Passport America and received a great rate. This is also an Encore Resort. Large level sites. Laundry is large and clean. Nice pool and spa. There is a nice sized dog park as well as a nice dry Creek bed where we walked dogs.
Park is about 20 minutes to Tombstone where a great day can be had. Grocery stores are nearby.

Valley Vista Encore Resort. Very close to town. Quiet with the occasional train horn far in the distance, Very friendly staff. Roomy sites. Facilities are open but no social gathering events due to COVID. Pool is open and heated. Laundry facilities are clean. Easy walking distance to convenience store/ gas station. Only 3 stars on Location as there is not much "Tourist" stuff to do nearby. We only paid $20 per night for a full 50 amp hookup because we're Thousand Trails members.

The park is part of the Encore group and our stay was covered with our Thousand Trails membership. Paid WiFi was good as was cell coverage. I work remotely and those are very important metrics for me. The park was clean, well kept and the staff helpful and friendly.
