The location is fantastic because it's right in between the north and south parts of Redwood National and State Park. We explored the north park near Crescent City and also went south towards Orick -- both were about the same distance from Chinook.
If you can, ask for spot #34 -- that's the one next to the river. We were in #36 next to it and had a great view (when the people in #34 left).
The site is grass and level. We didn't even bother putting our jacks down. There is up to 50 amp service.
The best part about being next to the river is seeing all the different kinds of birds catching fish! We even saw a bald eagle one morning!
We have an AT&T and T-Mobile phone and they don't have service at all here.
We do have a Verizon Jetpack and it only had 1 bar of LTE service -- good enough for somewhere between 3 and 4 Mbps. Enough to check email, stream music, and scroll social media, but not good enough for non-buffering video.
I met the maintenance folks and they are super nice. We had a friendly chat and they gave me suggestions on places to see/go.
The resort isn't extremely modernized. You can tell that the owners haven't put much into it in recent years other than general upkeep and maintenance; however, don't let that deter you. It's a great value, the people here are friendly, and it the location can't be beat. I'd definitely come back here again.

Great base to explore redwoods. Clean bathrooms, great laundry and super friendly people who had a group fire by the river every night.

The owner of this property does not care about the guest experience. We were not told they were doing construction. The showers and bathrooms were closed for a few days and there was constant construction noise. During this ongoing construction a water line was struck and water was turned off while they shocked the system (approximately 8 hours). They even started working on the outside of the air B&B from 11pm to about midnight one night. The workers were being so loud yelling, laughing, and talking that we thought they had to just be rude guests. When we asked why someone was hammering and drilling at 11pm they said it was because it was going to rain the next day and they had to finish the project! Also when we arrived to the property we see a big sign in the front office that they have a no marijuana policy due to “disruptive behavior”. The owner is welcome to make what ever rules they want of course, but there is no mention of this on their website nor when I booked over the phone . In a legal state I feel like the owner needs to upfront about this. The manager and her husband were very friendly and obviously don’t make these policies. We did not meet the owner. There are so many RV parks in the area consider one of them instead.

New owners and management have let the park go. Weeds are overgrown so you can no longer see the river. Tent campers are in weeds taller than a person. Bathrooms and laundry are filthy and not stocked. Manager is absent most of the time. Not a comfortable stay.

Very well maintained rv park with full hookups and quiet at night. It’s beautifully nestled against the Klamath river with great views. Not a lot around and nearest full grocery store is in crescent city which is 30 minutes away so stock up. Great place to see redwood National Park and trees of mystery.

Pros:
1) Wonderful and friendly welcome
2) The cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in my life!
3) Decent wifi (enough to send emails, but not stream videos)
4) Beautiful location on the river
5) Lots of friendly people
Cons:
1) If you need to work while you are on the road all you will be able to do here is send emails, not do any video conferencing.
2) They had so many available spots to spread people farther apart from one another and they put someone right next to us and completely blocked our view of the river. I wish they were a little more conscious of that and spread people out more since not many people where there.

We had a riverfront site (but no river access if you want to kayak or boat). Views were beautiful. We were able to work remotely during the week with our Verizon jetpack, but the cell service was very poor. If you work remotely, I would not recommend this campground.
We drove over to the beach and were able to walk down and see a ton of seals swimming around. And we saw a black bear crossing the road in front of us on our way. Stopped by Elk crossing the road on the drive in. Wildlife! Loved it.
30 minutes to Crescent City - which was a nice visit. Wish we could have done Secret Beach or some more trails in Redwoods.
It's a run down campground but VERY VERY well taken care of. 2 washers, 2 dryers. And they had a campfire by the river everynight, which was nice.
Not much around for gas or groceries, so stock up before you arrive.

pros: clean bathrooms & showers, right on the river, water spigots nearby, good laundry, convenient location to redwoods
cons: tent sites are pretty close together with no privacy from your neighbors, had to drive through and park on grass at the site, okay service & pretty poor wifi = not great internet access

Stayed here last minute while visiting the Redwoods. Great access to north and south end of the park and just a few minutes drive to nearest beach. This place is right on the river with a great dock to enjoy sunset. Managers are phenomenal people and very accommodating. My fridge broke the night before pulling in and the assistant manager took a look at it for free, was unable to fix, but gave me the contact of mobile RV repair. Was able to get the repairman out the next day at a reasonable price. If you get a chance to stay, you definitely should!

I liked it here, but I did have the best site in the park, overlooking the Klamath River. Mostly a fisherman's RV park with a lot of what seemed like permanent or semi permanent trailers. People here were friendly, all waiting for the Chinook season to start I think. My fee of $20.00 was with the Passport America program which gives you 1/2 off. I don't think this park is worth $40. a night but maybe it's negotiable too. Would not call this a resort though, just a Campground. Presently for sale so all could change.
