My experience with KOA’s are all the same, over priced for an overnight stay.

They do allow self check in for late arrivals without reservations call the phone number for details on recording. We came in around 9pm and it was quite and clean. Never had to see a camp worker as we left the next morning. Cell service for att was limited. Their WiFi didn’t seem to work at all. I didn’t see a pool or playground. Seems like it’s usually not full. We stayed in 18 which was a 30 amp 50 foot spot for $37. This spot is the side where the airplanes would crash if they were going to.... We passed through town at night and had no idea it was right by an airport needless to say the morning was a surprise when the first plane banked low to land. Very low and loud. Maybe that’s why the wife had a dream about an airplane crashing into us that night. 🤣

This was a great place to stay. The restrooms were always clean. Clean laundry facilities. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nice playground for the kids. The hosts would help you anyway possible. They bring you a fire ring if you ask for it. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed overnight on April 15th. The check-in was smooth and the pull thru site was easy peasy. We were charged an extra $20 for a vacuum breaker on April 17th. We did not hook up our water during the stay. We have a pressure regulator on the end of our water hose and would not have been able to hook up our water if we tried (in our experience vacuum breakers will squish the screen). The owners took the time to speak with me on the phone and indicated that the staff noted that the vacuum breaker was gone and this was their policy to charge for it. I plan to dispute the charges with the credit card. No resolution provided and evidently the owners are out a vacuum breaker :(

There was nothing terribly wrong with it, but everything was a little less nice than you'd like for KOA prices. The WiFi was awful even parked under a repeater, but that's nothing new for an RV Park. All the spots up front were rutted out and uneven, there were some junkers parked in the back, and when it rained heavily everything smelled just slightly of sewage, like something was backing up somewhere.

(12/06/2021) A nice KOA, like many dated, restroom/showers need upgrades, clean but old & worn. Lots of facilities, group kitchen, club house, game room all dated but usable. Some drives have newer asphalt, sites are being upgraded with fresh limestone aggregate, most are worn down to sand, some have concrete pads, improvements are continuing all over. Great pool & hot tub, but in need of re-glazing. Some sites are newer and have no shade, we were under almost complete shad of Southern Live Oak with Spanish Moss. Not much to do around Perry unless you're into fishing, hunting & boating ("mudd'in" too). They have the usual stores for provisioning, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Ace, etc. Just a good place to 'chill', and ok for overnight.
(03-27-2023) What a change a couple years make! We added our old photo's from 2021 to illustrate some of the changes such as the cabins. They have new asphalt paved drives, concrete patios on many sites, new bathhouse interiors. One front site is a premium with brick patio & built-in barbecue; and many other improvements. This will be our mid-Florida stop-over on our way in/out of our Winter quarters in South Central.

Pull through. Full Hookup.
Location was close to lots of stores and food. But, not much to explore. Fairly quiet considering it is close to the main road and an airport.
They have propane on site, which is nice.
Seems more like a KOA Journey, rather than a KOA Holiday.
Clean campground. They have a couple of sites with really large fenced in living spaces.
All grass sites. Though they were literally pouring the first (that we could tell) concrete pad while we are here.
Good wifi sufficient enough for work and light streaming. Note that we saw after the fact that the campground asks that campers do not stream. I get the request. But, it is the first in our 67 RV parks this past year (2021) to directly ask folks not to stream on their campground wifi. Just odd. So, we stopped streaming to be respectful of the request.

We arrived at the Campground early but our site was ready so we were able to get set up. We are across from the laundry, pool and dog park. Site D13 is a pull thru FHU plenty of room for our 25 foot plus tow vehicle.

Simple pleasures: watching Perry Mason at the Perry KOA in Perry, Florida.

And I’ll keep this review simple as well. This place is a solid 10! Long, mostly level gravel full hookup slips in a well kept park full of huge trees (pix in the morning), 50+ cable channels, internet fast enough to stream on two TVs, two iPhones and one laptop - simultaneously, and a friendly staff indeed!

The campground (CG) was easy to find. Check-in was quick and very friendly and we headed to back-in site E-27 for our overnight stay. This premium site is probably one of the most spacious in the CG, especially on the utilities side, where a swing bench looks out to a huge field. There was a nice patio, furniture, and propane grill that unfortunately, due to the January cold weather snap, we did not get to use. There’s a large tree on this site, so satellite could be iffy, but they have cable TV, plus you get a good amount of OTA channels. The sites in this KOA are well-spaced in comparison to others we’ve stayed in the past. They have a nice camp store that even has a humidor with cigars. They also seem to be the town’s “go-to” place for propane fills. Water pressure was good at about 50 PSI, and we got 3 bars on Verizon. We were in the far back corner of the CG and had to carefully plan our departure to avoid tight turns and other campers departing to get to the exit. As this was easily one of the best KOAs and private CGs we’ve stayed in, we would definitely come back.
