Back of the camp faces rail tracks and I90 - and freight trains are very frequent. Nevertheless a very nice sleep after a lovely sunset. All sites are forward into - no back-ins or pull through. Perfect for our Class C. There is some gravel road for the last mile but good condition.

We had high hopes for this place, but it felt a little shabby, some sites were very sloped, and we had trouble finding someone on check in. A “back in 15 minutes” sign was on the office door from 3 pm to 9 am the next day.
Good stuff? Very nice people, including a long term resident next to us. White Pelicans and other interesting birds.
Really bad stuff? If coming from the west, you have to drive 7 miles past the place and backtrack 7 miles, 5 of it on gravel. Train noise is not unusual at many campgrounds, but this one had trains a few times per hour, and an ungated RR crossing at the park entrance means they always blow the horn a few times…all … night…long.
I can only recommend the place if you love fishing or birdwatching or are coming from the east.

Besides being located right next to the train tracks and on insanely bad, washboard, looong road in, it’s just dirty and gross. Piles of garbage, overflowing, junk cars and buildings, LITERALLY a pile of used woman’s feminine products.
On the bright side, lake views, beautiful trees, power, water, sewer. Not worth it though. Thought it was a peaceful roadside stop. Ended up being an out of the way, dirty place.

$50 for a night but with trash including broken glass on the ground. Close to a very active rail line with trains all night blowing their horn for the nearby crossing. Staff was nice enough but I would never recommend this facility.

Best stop in our whole road trip!
A paradise for those who love camping. They offer dock fishing along with a boat ramp you can tie into ith some monster trout up for grabs. The camping and entrance fees are very reasonable. The resort offers beautiful views looking over the lake and there is also a lot of wildlife to enjoy.
