Bode's is a great stop when ever in Abiquiu. You can order some good burgers up till 3:00 most days. There is a nice amount of unique and local gifts to explore and some basic items for recreational activities. Also they have gas and beer of that is all you need.
The cabin was enchanting from the moment you pull into the driveway. The natural beauty of the setting certainly adds to the charm. The cabin was well appointed, warming and restful. The access to the river was easy and the sound of the water could be heard from the cabin with a window open. Would stay again and again! While a bit out of town, the cabins location did not hamper our ability to seek out other parts of Durango with relative ease.
This is a nice place to stop and visit. There is a quaint lavender shop and a small cafe to get a bite to eat. Most food is created with some essence of lavender in the ingredients. The cafe closed around 2:00 I think so call ahead to verify.
