Others have said enough about this campground. We had side by side sites. My site we actually ended up level side to side (somehow). Just had to raise our trailer nose. Most sites are no where near level. We had the option to move to some sites further up that were super long. But they had humps in the middle. Every site seems to have sewer and hookups at or near the rear. And sewer seems to be uphill for every site. The sites we were at have the fire ring and table down the hill and pretty much on top of your neighbor.

We had some trash in both our sites. Including someone had left a piece of metal probably off their rv. The road in is very washboard. Very surprising on a flat road. Apparently the county or blm doesn’t own a grader or know how to use it. As it’s common all over the area.

The location. For the steens is amazing. Couldn’t get a better spot. Tho we drove to fish lake campground and it was very pretty. But is primitive. I doubt we’d want to take our trailer in.

Our spot seemed very tight to get in. One of the campground staff saw us circle about 3 times and was like “longer ones get in”. But it looked like my wife was going to take a tree to the side of the trailer getting in. We finally backed in. Several trees in the camp need trimmed. Just driving around you will scrape on some.

We will be back. But not because of the campground. Because of the amazing area. Might try a different spot next time. Tho every site seemed to have its challenges. It all needs a dozer brought in. And the big pit run rock replaced with actually crushed rock and smoothed and leveled.

As others have said. WiFi sucked. Though it had good coverage. Speed was terrible and frequent disconnects common.

Our hotspot on TMobile wouldn’t connect to anything. Verizon was faster then the WiFi by a long shot.

Nice looking park, they keep it up well... Sprinkler system to keep grass green. Small fence to hide neighbors hook ups was a nice touch. Obvious there are a lot of full-timers and residents from the permanent decks, and large propane tanks, etc.

We stayed just for one night on our way to our final destination, it was great for that with pull-throughs, we were able to just pop in, hook up and chill for the evening, before moving on the next morning.

The biggest complaint is that since this is part of the truck stop, and right behind it, there was a lot of truck noise through the night. Didn't bother me much, especially being a former over the road driver... but the 4 year old complained about it. In hindsight, leaving the Heat/AC fan on all night probably would have helped drowned out the noise.

Would stay again, especially if just passing through. But wouldn't be my first pick unless I could get a spot further back for a longer stay.

Park was clean and nice, no fire pits in spots, and not much elbow room. Our spot was listed as 16' wide, which means your yard is also your neighbors utility area... not much room to hang out, outside without being in your neighbors area. We had a couple neighbors on our door side, the second one came in while we were out, and when we came back in, there was probably less than 1' from the slides on their Class A to the end of our fully extended awning... For a base camp to other activities, this was great... but not a place I would want to hang around camp a lot and try and hang outside...

Bathrooms looked recently remodeled with nice showers, etc. Wi-Fi was hit and miss, one time only about 1-2Mbps speeds, one time more like 25... but we had a better time streaming videos over cellular than the Wi-Fi

We arrived after hours, and they had a board out front that said "welcome and campsite" for us and others arriving, as well as a map and our information in a box to grab and go.

Site was a paved pull through, and was fairly level, we spent the first night just pulled in and still hooked up, next morning leveled it out, but it didn't take much.

We were flying by the seat of our pants. Abs tried a state park down the road that looked like all the sites were too short for us. Then tried a private nearby which had no way to check in after hours. Then a county park with the same issue and kind of run down.

This was easy to access after hours. Even the 24/7 security was on site and helpful giving us the wifi and bathroom codes etc. it is just a big parking lot but has many pull through with full hookup. I would stay again for an easy to access site.

I little more off the road than I hoped, as we were just looking for a spot to stay on our way home. it worked well for our needs... seems like a nice campground. Didn't realize we were so close to the tracks, and these are busy tracks with trains coming by multiple times per day/night. I didn't notice them much and wife didn't hear them at all once we were asleep... but I would avoid the back rows if possible, as they are closest to the tracks... it appears to me, they fill the campground from furthest to closest first anyways as that end had hardly anyone.

Running the AC Fan all night helps, can't hear the trains from our spot.

Real campfire spots is nice. We stayed the night, and moved on... does show having a pool and hot tub. Everything was closed when we were here due to COVID-19.

Cable was currently out (listed on their info sheet at checkin)

Wi-Fi didn't work... I was able to connect, but couldn't get any where once connected..

Tight spots to get into but great sites. Right near entrance. Short walk to tram, go karts, mini golf, etc. had no idea when I got reservations is like a little resort town and the park is in the middle of it. Loved the location. Very close to lake. But far enough away mosquitoes might not be as bad.

Would come back in a heartbeat. Staff was super friendly and helpful. When we went they currently had a food cart in one spot. And there are shakes across street. Ice cream across and down the street. So many things to do.

If you read the website. The park was closed and run down and purchased in 2020. It looks as though they have been working to fix it up. Several electrical boxes look newer. Bathroom was nicer than state park. But also ran out of TP.

Really appreciate the WiFi no office is a little weird to not talk to a human. Had to reserve online but they give you the WiFi password to do so. So had to rush to pick a spot while blocking the entrance. But it worked.

Spots are all grass and that’s weird. We actually found a slightly off level place in our site that worked perfectly once our slides were out. We’re only slightly off level without using our Anderson’s which is always nice. I like the two water spigots. One is non potable and will be nice for flushing the black tank. One thing I always hate with full hookup is Norway to flush. I’m not about to hook my black tank water hose to the portable water (I’m sure many others do)

Clear open sky for satellite tv. Not many spots with trees. We got some wind and started to wish we weren’t under the tree. But it gave a place to secure our dish.

Did go in Men's bathroom on 2 different occasions, and it looked like it hadn't been serviced the entire time we were there, out of TP, and garbages overflowing... Wife said Women's seemed ok...

Cell is non existent. Info station says t-mobile is all that works. If you look at coverage maps everyone should be on the fringe. But Verizon has been non operational in all areas near by. And we drove right by a tower. Coverage maps say att is best. But park info says T-Mobile. A booster might work if you have the right one. Don’t have one (yet)

Sites are odd with a concrete pad no where near where you need it. Says fits 45’. Were 54 with the truck hooked up and had plenty of room. So they must mean a 45’ trailer. I could easily have fit a longer rig plus there’s a gravel pad at each site I guess for parking the rigs.

There are no pull thru sites tho I watched. Someone pull in via site righ next to entrance. So can be done.

They have a bunch of brand new trailers for rent which is kind of neat.

Didn’t notice highway sounds much after 10pm it gets quiet. But it’s present during the day. We went up against the hill so we were as far away from on that hat as possible.

We were aiming for this area. Flying by the seat of our pants. Originally to stop at Rome station. But no cell service and no obvious WiFi. So pressed onto Jordan valley and glad we did as at least there’s WiFi available and it’s a larger and nicer looking park.

Will be back as there’s. O other places to base out of for this area. Unless we boondocks. Would have considered that this time but didn’t bring a generator (almost packed it but we weren’t sure we were coming out here)
