It's pretty tough to beat a friendly park like this with great check in service where you end up on a bluff in Malibu overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Bonus is the fish house at the bottom of the hill for your BBQ or roadside outdoor seating. Nothing around here is so cheap, but look at you in Malibu on the Highway 1 with an ocean view. Plenty to do in Malibu, beaches, and surrounding areas.
Such a nice campground in such a nice landscape. With access to the lake, this is the larger of the campgrounds in the area with enough outdoor activities and amenities no matter the camping style you desire. You may need a reservation in summer as it does fill up. Once you're here you won't want to leave except to hike and fish!
You have to go! The road is often the concern so consider one of the shuttle services in town departing from many lodging locals. The hot pools have a temperature that's just right for you, Goldilocks.
Sarah's Campground is a really fun summer camping experience with spots on the beach if your timing is right. Lots of family entertainment within walking distance for all ages as well. We lucked out but reservations are not a bad idea, especially for beach spots in summer.
