It's a beautiful drive there along highway 380. That's the reason I went. I was pleasantly surprised to find they have a Dia de las Muertas festival on 1 Nov, complete with wandering bands of musicians, face painting, and ghouls on horseback!
Camelot RV Park is one of the nicest RV parks I've stayed at. It has lovely green spaces, a nice pool, large mature trees, and is very well maintained. My only reservation was the bathroom - while spacious and clean, there was only one of them
After visiting the Prairie Dog park - charming - my canine dogs and I took advantage of the off-leash dig
Park there. A nice spot if you are in the area
Google maps had me do a u-turn about 2 miles before the bridge and hard back north towards I-84. Ignore that and continue south on 93 and you'll come to the bridge and the gorge a couple miles later. Well worth it!
