Diamond Campground is one of my favorite RV parks. It's perfect for 'chore days' between boondocking spots, or as a base to explore town & the area. It's one of the few parks I've found that takes same-day online reservations, and it has a photo and description of each site on the website, including how level it is and if it would work for motorhomes/trailers etc.

In my experience, the laundry, showers, dog park, employees, and general vibe are all great. The playground looks fun for kids, too. The pines throughout the campground make for great shade, but there's still room to maneuver. The wifi is ok, better than most RV parks but spotty on weekends. The sites are fairly close to each other but there are trees and space between many - it's not a parking lot configuration like the parks closer to Co Springs. It's a pretty quiet park considering how many people it holds. Adorable bunnies and deer hang out in the lower section, so walking down to the dog park is always a cute adventure.

The surrounding area is very walkable and bikeable. There's a nice walking/bike trail across the road, the neighborhoods are really cute and quiet, and it's only a few blocks from main street. The natural food store across the road has some great snacks.

We stayed here for a week in early Nov 2016. This was a great place to stay as a stop towards St George. Minersville Reservior is a pretty decent sized body of water and seems to be popular with fisherman, mostly on boats. We caught a few 12" or so trout from the shore but nothing big enough to keep per the regulations. The surrounding area is sagebrush desert but you still have a nice view of the nearby foothills.

- Dog friendly
- Verizon was ok with a booster, 2-3 bars of LTE
- Winter pricing was 10$ a day
- Very clean and well kept
- Elevation 5500 feet
- Many sites, each with a little shelter, picnic table, grassy area and fire pit.
- The closer you get to the reservior the tighter they are, and the closest row seems to be tent only, no parking for large vehicles.
- We stayed in spot 19 on the 2nd row in. We have slides on both sides of our 5th wheel and they took up the whole width of the parking driveway, pretty tight against the shelter but work ok.
- Very quiet, only a few people in the campground, some fisherman traffic at the dock
- Power and water at most (maybe each?) site
- Has dump situation where you pull out
- Has power ports at camp table

Pros
- Super quiet
- Very well kept
- Cheap in winter
- Can go for walks along shoreline
- Fishing

Cons
- If the campground filled up you'd be pretty close to your neighbor.
- It's a trophy fishing area, the fishing regulations are pretty limited for trout.
