So this was quite an experience. It does seem like you are going no where while driving however once you reach the park entrance it gets better. Plus you are able to use the national park annual pass if you have it. Downside to get to this particular spot you will drive on a gravel/dirt road for 4 miles. Did I mention it’s a single lane road along the side of the mountain?!?! Even with all that the views from the top are amazing. Worth the scary drive up. Once on top there isn’t a whole lot to do. Not many trails and the only bathroom is an outhouse type bathroom. Also very windy on top. But totally worth all of that.

The address was off but if you follow the signs listed in that area you will find it. You have to drive or walk down a narrow drive to get to the sculptures. Once you find them you won’t be disappointed. This is a very unique place to visit. There were a few picnic benches so we were able to eat while we were there. Downside there was no bathrooms or porta potty’s on site. Also no trash cans.

Was very cool. A lot more things to do than you think. We went early July and it was scorching hot by noon. Go early. The exploration gardens were very neat but just to hot to really get to explore.

We were excited to see a ghost town however there was nothing there. The directions tell you to park on the side of the road and walk but there is nothing to walk to. A bit disappointing. Don’t waste your time trying.

A very awesome experience. The actual memorial seems outta place it’s just in a sports complex area. Worth the stop if your passing thru especially if you are patriotic. In the same area is a kids water splash pad and a playground. Was nice to let the kids out to stretch and get some energy out while we were stopped.

Was very windy but was nice. We were there early July and it was warm but not hot. Wind makes it seem chilly. Very neat place to visit. No real bathrooms only porta potty’s so make sure to stop before getting there. Visitor center was closed on Sunday not sure if it’s open other days. A definite stop if your passing thru. You can see it from the highway which is really neat.

On Sundays they don’t open until 12 it’s a bit off the path. The picture doesn’t really show what it looks like it’s just a few rows of lavender in front of a house. Still pretty but wouldn’t recommend the stop.

A must see! If you are in the area or close at all it is worth the stop. Recommend getting there early in the day we went early July and it got hot by about 10am. We did the Canyon Trail and the Chute trail. The chute trail was labeled most difficult however a 7 and 9 year old were able to do it. $5 day fee to visit. We loved it.
