We stopped here for a night as we were on I-70 heading west. Although the website showed that there were no vacancies, I called them because that sounded like it couldn’t be quite right. They don’t accept any online reservations after noon for that same night, so their vacancies zero out on the website sometime in the early afternoon. There were lots of vacancies. The owner/staff person Jeanne was very friendly and put us in a spot that would be close to the showers, since we travel in a camper van. The bathrooms are family bathrooms: shower sink and toilet in one room. Very nicely built, inside and out. Very clean as well. They have a lot of amenities we could not use on an overnight stay in November, such as a pool, outdoor spa, and room and equipment for various family sports. But it is well-kept and secure, and we would happily stay there again.

We stayed in our sprinter camper van in site B-4, which is the lowest price for RV, including 30 amp electric and water but no sewer. The campground website says that it has dynamic pricing, which I guess means the more crowded they get the more they charge. The price of $75.55 including all taxes and fees, and entrance to the Hot Springs. The campground itself was pretty nice, not quite up to KOA resort if that’s what you’re looking for, but very quiet, shady, and grassy. Staff were friendly, check-in was easy, bathrooms were clean but not fancy, and they had a few cool features such as a covered patio for dining, and a Miners Camp that I think was for kids (nice in hot, cold, or rainy weather); we didn’t go inside. The Hot Springs were fantastic. There are about 8 indoors, and some outdoors; these included large pools that were not too hot and kids could play in or grown-ups could swim in, as well as smaller soaking pools of different temperatures. The highest temp was 106°, which is all that Montana allows. The water comes out of the springs at 138°. We loved it. They also have a fitness center with good equipment and enough room for a number of people to be working out at the same time. That’s an extra five dollars per person. Also free (bagged) breakfast with hot coffee, a game room, and a camp store with RV supplies & game room equipment to sign out. All in all, we would stay here again because the campground was peaceful, and the hot Springs and fitness center are a nice opportunity to relax and work out during a camping tour.

First visit to this campground, and signs of pre-Covid prosperity all around. With PassportAmerica we paid $30 for one night. Very windy in March & April, we were told; this was eased a bit by the high hedges on all 3 sides of the campsites. CatSpa has 2 sections, upper & lower, each with its own swimming pool & spa. The lower one has smaller everything, but the better spa (open air, roof, protection from wind, benches on all sides) and nice-sized pool.

In general, the campground offers a basic set of amenities for campers who simply need a place to stay: security, full hookups, good showers/toilets, reasonable price. The WiFi was fantastic. The RV Park is several gravel parking lots with site hookups. This was all we needed. However, on our second morning we were awakened by blasting music, which came from someone at nearby Tucson Dragway. The RV Park security could do nothing about this assault. We left for breakfast, and it was still pounding out its heavy bass hours later. The Tucson Speedway is also nearby, and the camp guidelines informed us that racing noise and after-hours events could be noisy. If you want to stay here, check first the websites for those two raceways to see if events are planned during your dates. Don’t forget your earplugs or sound-deadening headphones.
